It is a beautiful location with a lovely hotel. The road towards the hotel was already putting us in a relaxed mode. So much green! The hotel looks beautiful. The receptionist was very welcoming and nice, explained us where everything was and that we could still eat at a restaurant 150 meters down the road if we'd hurry (we arrived at 20.15, the restaurant kitchen closed at 20.30). The rooms were spacious, looked renewed, and we had a view on the garden. The beds were nice, the shower was great. Breakfast was also lovely, many choices. You could also eat breakfast outside if you wanted to. We stayed for just one night since we were travelling home from Croatia and were looking for a hotel halfway, near Passau. I'm sure we'll come again!

Very large rooms with a traditional rustic vibe. Beautiful views of the village and the surroundings. The restaurant downstairs is a traditional german one with fresh (probably local) traditional produce. The owner and staff were very friendly and nice the whole time.

The staff were extremely helpful and lovely. We arrived out of the check-in hours so they left the key and all we needed to access the hotel and our room ready for us. I was celebrating my birthday during our stay and they organised a surprise for me: our breakfast table was facing the river, I got a card, a piece of cake with a candle and a glass of sekt. It was really special, thank you again! The room was spacious and comfortable, it had everything we needed. The bed was perfect and very comfy. The location was fantastic for the purpose of our trip, close to everything and just 25 min walk from the train station. It was really practical. We also received restaurant recommendations from the hotel staff, and they were spot on. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

I loved the tasteful merge of old and historic and the modern and comfortable. The south terrasse along the river Inn is open to all guests 24/7 is a wonderful place to relax. Breakfast was superb. This combined with the Bavarian hospitality made my stay a unique experience.

Kellberg was chosen as a quiet stopover during our visit to Passau and the surrounding area. We could also walk our dog directly from the hotel into the countryside. There's a good restaurant and a pizzeria in town (which we didn't visit as they were closed for holidays).

The accommodation was very clean.

The accommodation was very clean. Parking in front of the hotel was excellent. Breakfast was good, but a bit meager and basic for the price. It's worth mentioning that the egg dishes were freshly prepared. The large breakfast room was pleasant and clean, but again, it lacked that little bit of attention to detail. If we're ever in the area again, we'd gladly stay there again.

I can't personally comment on Kellberg itself, as we were...

I can't personally comment on Kellberg itself, as we were only there for a few days and used it as a base for excursions. There are a few options for dining out in the evenings, including a small Edeka supermarket with a butcher shop. It's a good starting point for trips to Passau, the Bavarian Forest, or even the Czech Republic.

Kellberg is beautifully situated on a hill: you can enjoy the peace and quiet and the fresh air. There are good opportunities for walks. There are three restaurants where you can eat, but we didn't try them.

We felt very comfortable; the country inn has a family atmosphere. We arrived by car and planned our excursions accordingly. It's not our first stay in Passau, and we will definitely return.

Superbly clean, spacious room with balcony. Friendly, helpful hostess. Good value evening meal. Attractive setting in rural village but close enough to Passau for sightseeing. Easy free parking adjacent to hotel.
