I cannot recommend this place highly enough — it genuinely felt like stepping into another world the moment we arrived. Beate's is tucked inside a beautiful old house in the historic part of the village, and the atmosphere is just magical: utterly peaceful, full of character, and exactly the kind of place you didn't know you needed until you're there. The Owner himself is an absolute gem — warm, welcoming, and the kind of host who makes you feel like a guest in a friend's home rather than a customer. The room had everything we needed, the bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the little seating area outside under the climbing roses quickly became our favourite spot to just sit and breathe. The only sounds we heard were horses trotting past outside — honestly, it only made everything feel more idyllic. The famous Münzenberg castle is literally five minutes on foot, parking is effortless, and the location is easy to find. And please, please book the breakfast. It was one of the best we've had — generous, thoughtful, and delicious. We left already talking about coming back. A truly restorative escape.
