Fabulous typical German Hotel by the river

Ultimate location in the town. Despite the old building, it is quite well digitalised and keep the vintage cosy atmosphere very well. The room was super clean and comfortable, super lovely stuff.

Location Ediger Eller is on of the nicest villages on the Mosel

Excellent breakfast and staff was superb. It felt like staying with family and down to earth atmosphere.

Price quality were in balance. Location very close to our cycle route. Good buffet meal in the evening. Breakfast was also good. Secure bike storage facility with plenty of charging point for the e bike. Room was good, comfortable and quiet.

Owner was very friendly, rooms were clean and spacious. He even gave me a free garage for the car. Would definitely book again, when I come to Bullay or Zell.

Alf is quiet but the hotel is easy walking distance to the riverboats and restaurants. Comfortable room with balcony. Nice breakfast with a great choice that you could eat in the dining room or have it on the patio if you preferred. As motorcyclists we like secure parking and the hotel let us park our bike in the large bicycle room. There’s plenty of room in there so no issues. That said I would have been perfectly happy parking at the rear of the hotel on the designated hard standing. Reception staff very friendly, helpful and made us feel very welcome

They tried to keep it as authentic as possible. I did not feel like in a hotel that once was a castle. I felt like in a castle that now is a hotel.

Good restaurant and excellent breakfast with fresh German bread roles, eggs, hams, cheeses, etc. This is a small family run hotel and the owners are very welcoming, friendly and accommodating! This place does not offer the top notch of luxury rooms but rather a genuine and authentic experience. The family apartment is spacious and beds are comfortable. If you don’t mind basic room standards, but prefer a warm and personal atmosphere, you are right here.

Very central and a nice view towards the vineyards and Marienburg

Convenient location on the main street of Pünderich, so easy access to the river and hikes. Bed was hard, but in a comfortable way. Convenient water / beer / wine fridge you can access.

The breakfast was exceptional. Tara made us feel welcome and was very informative. We will be back as this property had to be the quietest on earth. We had a river view room; waking up to the Mosel was magical.

Spacious apartment, comfortable bed, friendly staff and superb food

The room was ideal, a pretty typical hotel room. It could have done with a couple of hooks for a jacket and so on. There was no tea or coffee in the room but I don't see that as a major problem. Breakfast was good insofar as the dining room was large and comfortable. The 8 person queue at the coffee machine was a disaster. A second coffee machine would help a lot. The buffet layout was cramped meaning that people were elbow to elbow at the buffet. Not at all comfortable. The hotel itself was comfortably placed, just outside the town centre and with masses of free parking in the hotel grounds.

Great balcony overlooking the Mosel - host very host able allowing us to have visitors - the back patio was a lovely place to visit
