We had the roof terrace room (which was wonderful, looking out across the Rhine), and because that room doesn't have a lift servicing it, the staff had already prepared a different room with a balcony accessible by lift in case we wanted to change. We didn't, and it was worth walking up three flights of stairs.

Sinzig is a village with plenty of little restaurants but...
Sinzig is a village with plenty of little restaurants but Hotel Tappes lies in the neighbouring village and it is a 1.5km walk into Sinzig (and the nearest open restaurant). I think it would make an ideal base for hikers and bikers.

We have stayed at the accommodation before several times as a stop over to and from our drive to Bavaria.
It is just a couple of km off the motorway but is set in beautiful countryside and is a small personal place that we prefer to stay in rather than a big hotel.
Vera is a kind and thoughtful host and the room was very comfortable and quiet in a peaceful location.
We would certainly stay here again, and in fact are doing so on our return journey to the UK next week.
