Check in at a different location (2 min walk) but it was very easy. The hotel was very nice, clean and quiet. We booked two rooms, one for my wife and I, and the second for my two daughters. Both rooms were very roomy, we had plenty of space for our luggages. For breakfast we ordered eggs, and coffee was served promptly. Selections for breakfast was very good. I wanted to have a beer after checking in so they had set up a fridge with beer and water at the hotel. This is on an honour system, we were able to enjoy the beverage and pay the next morning. Very convenient - we thank them for this!

We look forward to returning because there is no where better to stay. The personal touch of a family run hotel is priceless. We had excellent recommendations for activities and restraints. The breakfast was varied and enjoyable as well as authentically German. We already have friends booking at stay because it is in the perfect corner of the walled city -- near the cathedral, close to the main square, right at the beautiful garden gate, and in easy walking to excellent dinner options.

We were so surprised how wonderful the hotel was. We knew it was nice by the pictures online, but it exceeded our expectations. We were a family of four and stayed in the chalet of the hotel. It was big, had more amenities than we expected, parking was right outside our exit, and the staff was super friendly. Oh, and the breakfast was great! The location of the hotel is perfect. We walked out of the front of the hotel and walked up the street to all the shops and main square. We will definitely go back again! We can not say enough good things about the hotel and our stay!

Loved everything! The location is very dreamy, authentic and rustic — right in the woods and still well connected if you’re on a road trip down south or up north. The staff is so friendly! I’m celiac, and gluten-free options are available both for dinner and breakfast (even gf Brötchen!) and the food is fantastic! We stayed in Winter, but would love to come back to stay in summer too!

Ideal distance from the beautiful medieval city of Rothenburg that is too crowded especially on weekends. Very quiet place. Small family hotel with very clean, reconstructed rooms, some hundred meters away from the restaurant where you have to check in and where you can have excellent dinner from local products. The rich breakfast is directly in the building with the rooms. Parking places almost right under your windows.

The guesthouse is located in a quiet area. The gps takes you to the restaurant, where you get the keys for the room. Then, you drive back 2 streets to the hotel. Our room was very nice. Modern and quiet, with a balcony.
