The Gasthof zu Krone served as our base for day trips to Dinkelsbühl and Schwäbisch Hall, as well as for our parents' golden wedding anniversary dinner. For this occasion, we highly recommend the Fuchs + Hase restaurant in Schönbrunn. This location is particularly suitable for those seeking peace and quiet during their vacation or leisure time. However, having your own transportation is essential.

Those who love peace and quiet will feel right at home.

Those who love peace and quiet will feel right at home. The garden was beautiful. We had breakfast in a lovingly furnished room. It's difficult to get around without a car. A wonderful place for hiking, with Rothenburg ob der Tauber right on the doorstep and Dinkelsbühl within easy reach.

The surrounding area is very scenic.

The surrounding area is very scenic. We used our accommodation as a base for excursions to Rothenburg (a very beautiful and well-preserved old town), Dinkelsbühl, and Nördlingen, where we also visited the Bavarian Railway Museum. A tour of Schillingsfürst Castle and the falconry display at the castle were also wonderful experiences.

The incredible heat during our stay unfortunately slowed us...

The incredible heat during our stay unfortunately slowed us down a bit. Nevertheless, we were able to enjoy some fantastic bike rides, even if they were a little shorter than planned. The excellent signage for the cycle paths deserves special mention. And another big compliment: there's a charging station for electric cars. We were particularly grateful for that.

We arrived at a house whose brightly painted walls and floral artwork created a relaxing atmosphere. The house is surrounded by unspoiled nature, which can be experienced up close. Tables, chairs, and loungers are provided. Since Windelsbach is a small village, there is no disturbing noise, and you can sleep with the window open at night. The breakfast is very good.

Windelsbach itself isn't very busy, which is precisely its...

Windelsbach itself isn't very busy, which is precisely its charm for some. It's a lovely starting point for hikes or horseback riding. Rothenburg is only about a 10-minute drive away. Gasthof Linden was excellent, as was Nepermuk (surprisingly delicious food for such an unassuming location). For us, it was the perfect base for a short trip to Rothenburg and the surrounding area.

We only stayed for 1 night to visit the town of Rothenburg of der Tauber (which wasn't long enough!). The room was spacious, had a balcony and was very quite. The breakfast was great with a very good variety (fresh bons, cheese, meats, cereal, eggs etc.). The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was just 10 minutes away from Rothenburg and a not expensive parking lot (P4), which was directly on the outer town wall and a 5 minutes walk from the market place (visited the Christmas market).

Ideal distance from the beautiful medieval city of Rothenburg that is too crowded especially on weekends. Very quiet place. Small family hotel with very clean, reconstructed rooms, some hundred meters away from the restaurant where you have to check in and where you can have excellent dinner from local products. The rich breakfast is directly in the building with the rooms. Parking places almost right under your windows.

A small quiet village. An inexpensive hotel with modern rooms. Excellent breakfast with tables in the green area. You can order fried eggs. Nice helpful staff, who speak good English. Parking near the hotel. We would like to visit next time. We recommend for travelers and business.
