We were disappointed.
We were disappointed. The old town many of the shops have closed and the others were not tourist type shops. It seemed to be cheaper clothes shops. We realised that most shops are now in centres away from the city. The Domkirke was very nice but the museums were closed for refurbishment. Most of the restaurants were closed from Sunday to Wednesday - just when we visited and we ended up going to a McDonalds as it was open.

A town with historical significance and many pearls within...
A town with historical significance and many pearls within walking distance. For a couple of days, walk the pedestrian area, visit "Latinerhaven" and Skovgaard Museum with the works of "guldaldermaler" P.C. Skovgaards (and family) and continue to Domkirken and see the frescos made by his son. Domkirken has visible history back a 1000 years. Stroll the well preserved middle age cobble stone streets. Go to the Borgvold park at the lakes and enjoy the calmness.
Nice restaurants e.g on "Nytorv" from traditional Danish ("Fru Thomsen") to Italian ("Kehlet"), and specialty shops (sour dough products at "Simpel Surdej" and beer tasting at "Viborg Bryghus" - note, only open on certain days)

I you like walking Viborg has many options to provide.
I you like walking Viborg has many options to provide. Take a walk around the lakes close to the city center.
Take a trip to Haldsø and with the combination of the forest and lake that will make you feel so relaxed.

The hotel is situated in a fantastic location! The staffers were friendly. Beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was. Also, I absolutely loved the wellness area and the gym. Both spaces had long opening hours, they were fully equipped! Enjoyiny the jacuzzi outside was outstanding!

Big, clean and comfortable house, in a quiet place, near the lake, and 1.5km from the center and the Cathedral, in the wonderfull Viborg, which is one of the oldest town of Danmark.
