Nice old, historic town. Well preserved castle. Town is clean and well maintained. Lot of walking areas, nice park and other views. Lot of lovely places to eat. Easy to get around. If necessary, there is Auriga shopping mall just outside center.
Great place to visit during summer. There were many attractions around the island as we drove to destination, so we stopped along the way. There was a Viking expo at the central church, highly recommended if still available.
Very beautiful and quiet place. It is recommended to go on weekdays to fully enjoy the peace and beauty. There are many beautiful restaurants in the Old Town with local dishes. Beautiful walking areas and a family-friendly city with children.
Kuressaare is a small but really lovely city to spend a day or a few. Even though we explored all the Saaremaa, but we stayed in Kuressaare and enjoyed little cafes and restaurants for dinner. It's cool, that you can have a little walk around the city, then spend a cozy evening in one of the restaurants and in the end see the sunset near the sea in Kuressare beach and do it in just a matter of an hour, as the city is rather small and you can reach everything really quickly.
Kuressaare was a quaint and picturesque town. We very much enjoyed the promenade along the water and the old, wooden houses. We ate dinner at Taxi Pub - cheap and tasty, very typical Estonian food, but our two teenage sons said the portions were too small! :) We visited the castle/museum - it contained many interesting exhibits, a cafe and roof top viewing platform. Just beyond the castle is the city/public beach with changing cabins and WC. We were very pleasantly surprised by this little gem of a town.
Kuressaare is a wonderful, relatively small town. The castle is extremely picturesque, the seaside is close by, and there is a nice range of small cafes and shops in the old town part. It is also good to combine visit of Kuressaare with some longer car trips around Saaremaa/Muhu - the nature and seaside views are amazing, and the locals are most friendly.
We have superior room, it was spacious and comfy. Very nice design, sparkling clean. Nice views over the roofs of old town. Breakfast was very tasty with variety of local goods, gravalax salmon, fresh orange juice and nice coffee. Spa is not big but enough to relax after the day travelling island. Three saunas, inside and outside pool. It was enough even for my child))) Hotel itself is very cosy and with great Nordic design. Parking is a bit small, but u can park on street for free.
This was definitely one of the best hotels I have ever been to! Ekesparre Hotel created a calm and gorgeous place for their guests with perfection in every little detail. The staff is really friendly and welcoming, the rooms are comfortable and pretty and the location is outstanding near the castle. The breakfast was also a highlight, the neatly and elegant set tables, the music and the fresh and diverse food choices.
Arensburg Boutique Spa is a lovely place to have a vacation every now and then, the spa is small and cosy for adults, spa treatments on good level, perfect meals in restaurants and the loveliest staff of Estonian hotels. It’s a real relaxation. The rooms might need some fixing and renovation soon, small things that would make it absolutely perfect.
Absolutely perfect hotel if you’re looking around Kuressaare and need a place to stay! Excellent location, rooms are quite spacious, possibility to use the kitchen and washing machines, free parking availability! Everything is nearby and easy to access! I will definitely be back :)

Superb location in the middle of the Kuressaare, nearby several groceries, bakeries, coffeeshops. Communication with host was clear and informative. Spacious rooms were warming up fast and were rationally and also tastefully organised.
Kuressaare
Excellent retro vibe with minimalist means. Comfy, quiet, clean. The location is quite central despite some odd neighboring buildings. Absolutely suggest over any 'standard hotel' in Kuressaare
A cosy hotel located near the main touristic points of Kuressaare. Everything was as described in other reviews: kind and friendly staff, clean room, available parking space.
Hotel public spaces are really nice, room interior was not the newest, but clean and tidy. Decent breakfast with a nice view to coast. Overall good value for money.
