We loved this hotel. The restaurant and the breakfast service are fantastic, and the staff is superb, kind and relaxed. The location is excellent: a 4min shuttle to 1700mts, where there's a ski lift that is never too crowded, and takes you to Esquirós. You can also rent the ski gear at the hotel. The spa was also pleasant. We'd love to be back soon.
This hotel is located at the foot of the Baqueira Beret ski slopes, just 164 feet from the Esquirós lockers and elevators. Rooms enjoy panoramic views of the Aran Valley.
Just 5 mi from the Baqueira-Beret Ski Resort, Hotel Vilagaros is located in the pretty village of Garós. It offers free shuttle to the ski slopes, a sports equipment repair service and an indoor pool....

Cozy inn with fantastic staff. We had a two story room with two twin beds on second floor and a large double on main floor which was great for 3 adults. Wonderful room with a country feel. The staff are incredible speaking many languages.
The Hotel Casa Irene is located in Arties, in the heart of the Val d’Aran. It has a spa, a restaurant, and the Baqueira-Beret ski slopes are 3.7 mi away.
Located in Salardú’s Old Town, this rustic hotel offers great Pyrenees views and free Wi-Fi. Baqueira Beret Ski Resort is 2.5 mi away. The hotel offers a ski school and ski storage.

Set in Salardú, just 10 minutes’ drive from Baqueira-Beret Ski Elevators, Hotel Garona offers fantastic mountain views. It has an on-site restaurant, a shared guest lounge and free Wi-Fi access.

the owner very friendly, provided me with useful information. Very good breakfast
Good for snow quality, and a range of skiing. Long, older ski lifts could use upgrading. Limited dining on the pistes, but that which is there is of good quality and great service. No apres ski. Very limited restaurant choice so half board is advised.

Good for intermediate skiers, plenty of blue & red runs for a 5 day stay. The lift pass system needs updating, they're still using the barcode pistols to check you on to lifts. Baqueira is a quiet resort, anybody used to the Alps would find there isn't much choice in terms of bars, restaurants & nightlife but ok if you're after a quieter stay. Municipal parking is free & just a short walk to the accommodation buildings (hotels & apartments), around 5 to 10 minutes. We saw a forecast online of 1.5m depth of snow at the top & 1.2m at the bottom (snow forecast.com). This was misinformation by a long way & maybe the resort is providing the wrong information??

The Val de Aran area is a beautiful part of the world, if you can avoid peak hours to hit the slopes you can stay anywhere in the area and enjoy lovely food in an awesome setting. Baquiera has the added value (and cost) of being able to walk to the ski lifts.

Family skip trips is not only about slopes and snow, in our case we were fortunate with perfect weather and the begginer section was well prepare. However they are cutting services everywhere like the free shuttle from parking to the lifts, also they should also check the quality of some restaurants and apartment which are old and not maintenance for years or decades.
Definitely not a family ski destiny. Just find somewhere else to have fun with your offsprings

The resort closed meaning we spent a lot of non-refundable money on a resort we were only able to ski for 1 day. However, the skiing is great and generally the people are helpful and friendly. The restaurants serve some delicious foods (for the 2 nights we were able to go to a restaurant),

The Ski area is great and very well maintained, but it was just to Hot! As its our first trip there I wouldn't know how typical the conditions were.
We were staying 50 mts from the lift and next door to the ski hire, so no complaints on that score, there is also a train which runs around the town.
We found one tiny bar at night, so not a party town. There are a lot of nice looking Restaurants, which we didn't visit as a family group. There are a few fancy pit stops on the slopes but be careful as 4 hot chocs and 3 cokes cost £50-.
We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Chalet Bassibe. Lots of options at breakfast and dinner and we all really liked the meals. The staff were really kind and welcoming and the location for our ski holiday was perfect . It’s just a short walk to the slopes although the hotel did provide an excellent bus service. I would definitely stay here again
Top location, very close to the funicular.
The hotel has a special zone for kids with a small swimming pool and great play zone, which is quite useful.
The zone with a fireplace on the first floor probably is the best in the town for relaxing with a cocktail in the evening.
Pros:
- spacious clean rooms with stunning views
- really great employees, everyone is very helpful and kind, they definitely compensate for the hotels shortcomings
-great massage in the spa thanks to the lovely manager
- valet service
