Some people complained in the comments about the breakfast. Maybe I got lucky or have lower standards, but except for the juice, which was sugar flavoured water, the breakfast was better than expected. The location is good, being a close walk to the beach. A couple of nice restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

It is a beachfront town with everything you need on the seaward side of the N-11 other than parking. The beach extends up past Pineda de Mar so it is several km long of slightly gritty sand. The beach is open to the sea so it could get a bit windy, but the water was very clean for my stay with no recent wind. Plenty of places get to eat. The train line running adjacent to the beach isn't really a problem and there wasn't much traffic.

The town is clean and not to crowded which I liked so much.
The town is clean and not to crowded which I liked so much. Beautiful long beach. Great places to eat and shop. Prices are decent but I recommend when you go shopping first look around because the prices are different from the centre shops(expensive)to outer located stores. People are friendly and respect full.

avoid this place if you want to walk around Barcelona.
avoid this place if you want to walk around Barcelona. train ride is 1 hr., taxis cost around $60 to Barcelona, bus is horrible. Beach lovers - this place is yours. Limited good restaurants. Breakfast buffet is the same everyday- ok w fruits. Buffet dinner is ok but not your top notch selection. can be noisy - rooms are thin. However, shout out to the pleasant front desk representatives !! they were the best part of this hotel.

Calella is the perfect choice if you want to combine the visits to Barcelona with hanging out on the beach and swimming. There is a railroad by the sea, with frequent trains, that can take you to Barcelona in 45-ish minutes, or for example, to city of Figueras, where you can visit the Salvador Dali museum. The recurrent ticket costs 10 euros. You can use it to visit other places (other beaches) on Costa Brava, there are 10-15 beautiful public beaches and all of them look awesome. In Calella you have plenty of restaurants and bars, that offer both Spanish food (paella, tapas, etc...) or "classic" - burgers, pizza, fish plates. The place is not too big so you'll get around easy, as the people are willing to talk and show directions.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. This was an additional holiday with my husband & 4 year old son on a limited budget. The food was excellent, half board recommended as this was incredibly good value for money. The pool area was fantastic, our little one loved the water slides & the astro turf area to play. We also travelled into Barcelona which was just an hour away on the train.
The first time I went to Calella... and I stayed at this hotel because it is in a very good area and the staff is very friendly at a good price... I had a problem with the cleaning of my room and thanks to the manager he was very kind to me he has solved it and I changed to another room... I'm sure I'll come back 😊
Stayed here for ironman barcelona, great location, right beside swim start and transition. Hotel offered full breakfast at 5am the morning of the race. Very close to train station also.
Calella is a small town, walking street is nice and there are enough shopping facilities. Also many good restaurants. Beach areas are very good cared. Easy train access to Barcelona.
