Meloneras is a lovely area especially for sports: cycling, walking, running along the seafront or swimming in the sea or the pools. Unfortunately due to the current crisis many places have closed down however, there are still good places to eat and drink in the area : try the Italian cafe/restaurant bar at the top level of the Meloneras Playa shopping centre opposite H10 hotel for a drink, coffee, snack or meal all freshly prepared, delicious and good value for money with friendly staff!
I enjoyed both the dunes to the east and the promenade to the west. Along the promenade I photographed a hawk hovering over the rocky beach. The public bus service stops very close to the Lopesan resort. The Cafe de Paris on the Boulevard el Faro is a good place for afternoon drinks.
A quiet , clean upmarket resort. The hotels here are all of a very high standard . Agood location for anyone birding the island as the main place for waterbirds(La Charca) is in Meloneras. It seemed to have great golf courses in the area, but I didn' play any so can't be 100pc certain.Very easy to drive around and get to and from the airport if you're hiring a car.
Lovely area away from the busy town yet within walking distance of anything you might need. So much to see nearby including the lighthouse and dunes. Also a golf course. Beware the local beach - it may not look rough but it's the first time I have ever had a wave come right over my head! Hope to return next year.
Beach was relatively quiet, plenty of space, not far to Maspolomas beach as an alternative for some days. can be rocky at times depending on tide, so beach shoes area good idea. Good convenient supermarket. Went with young children so didn't get to explore much of the town
Unlike the main resort area of Maspalomas, Meloneras was very quiet in early July with plenty of space on beaches and in restaurants to relax quietly. The beach is sandy but beware the rocks if you go at low tide! Lots of fish to see if snorkelling off the beach. For entertainment check out the pool tables and darts in La Ruta (great beer selection as well), for fresh fish and very friendly staff visit La Serafin restaurant next to the beach. To chill out to some 80s music with a G&T and some friendly conversation from the owner visit the Panoramic Bar in the small tower on the beach. This is a lovely place to visit and relax for couples or families. Everything you could need is within 10 minute walk of the villa complexes and hotels its that small and if you want to take a longer walk you can walk to Maspalomas along the coastal path in 20-30 minutes.
Everything. Beyond my expectation. Spacious room. Friendly staff. Nice design of the resort. I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.
