Featuring free Wi-Fi and free public parking, H Casona Selgas de Cudillero is located 1.2 mi from the center of Cudillero, on Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage Route. The room was lovely, the bed great, very comfortable. I'm not sure if they provided any food, we didn't eat there at all but they did suggest a local family restaurant down the road which was incredible for it's food which was just the job. The hotel is only two minutes outside Cudillero which was the reason for staying there, using the hotel as a base. The staff were able to tell us some beauty spots to see which we did and we eat in Cudillero a couple of times, the food was so fresh and cooked so well. We want to go back for a longer next time. It's worth it.

It was a very special place and despite the heavy rain, we managed to have fun and enjoy this oasis on the top of the hill. Beautiful views, lovely room and appreciated all the little extras that they managed to do to make our stay wonderful. Wish we could have stayed longer!
Cudillero is a delightful little town with a gorgeous fishing harbor, tourists on summer weekends, a couple of pleasant walks (one with an amazing view of the harbor and the ocean), a few restaurants, and a very pretty 2-star hotel named La Casona de Pio. We enjoyed fresh fish at the Casa de Julio. We also had an excellent lunch at El Cafe del Faro, right next to our hotel.
I was there for 2 days. Way too long. Half a day would do it. Food is very expensive in the restaurants. The idea being that seafood direct from the Cantabrian sea is expensive, but I'd have thought the lack of transport costs would make it cheaper than in Madrid, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
A lovely little fishing port. Plenty of restaurants serving local food, which were still open in October when we went. Lovely for a walking holiday (as long as you have strong legs as it's all steep hills!).
Small village with narrow streets so no parking. Painted coloured houses and restaurants attractive. We were there between 4.00 and 6.00pm and only bars were open offering very limited food options. All recommended restaurants were closed.
Lovely small Harbour town. It wasn’t particularly busy during our stay (mid September) but I could imagine that the peak tourist period would diminish the attraction of the town. That said we stayed one night, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Another night or two would have allowed us to explore the surrounding region, but one day/night for the town itself is enough IMO.
Cudillero
Beatriz, the host, was extremely helpful in all the small details which make your vacation so much better. While being away and travelling she managed to book restaurants, museums, solve small problems and even to find churros which is not a part of a local cuisine. Cudillero itself is a small serene lovely village you can explore in a day or two while climbing and descending its slopes which substitutes the gym. If you want to take a swim you'll find several beaches nearby (10 mins by car).
Cudillero
I highly recommend this hotel. It has a very convenient location, you are close to the airport, a stone's throw from the coast and Cudillero. The facilities such as bathroom, bedroom and dining room were clean and cosy. The host and hostess were very correct and friendly. Thanks to them I had a great time and they helped me more than what was required of them. To be repeated...
Cudillero
This house used to belong to a local artist who was renowned in Spain, hence many copies of his artwork can be seen in the hallway. The view is excellent, I can tell how the artist was painting the beautiful town when sitting on his own terrace. And above all, the host lady Hana is a super star! highly recommend!
Lovely property in a quiet location but very near to Cudillero. The apartment was spotless and well equipped and comes with use of a beautiful shared garden. Laura was so helpful with information about the area and facilities. We wished we could have stayed longer. Highly recommended.
Dave the manage and the rest of the staff were utterly FANTASTIC and HELPFUL. It was very, very, clean. Have not just checked into a 4 star hotel and they could not be less helpful and quite snobbish. Makes me wish to return to Pension Alver or atleast import their staff.
rooms are simple/not very modern but clean and everything we needed for two nights. has its own parking. The drive into Cudillero takes 5-10 minutes. There is a bar for breakfast just a few meters away. It has some outside space to relax/read.
