Good location. Very big room/suite with separation for study table and sofa. Toilet was rromy and came with toiletries and has night light. There was also free dolce gusto pods and machine in room. Robe and bedroom slippers were very comfortable and bed was very warm and toasty during the cold April period. Staff spoke good English and was able to advise me on where to buy bus tickets to Sarria as well as timing. They were also very kind to hold my hardcase luggage until my return from the Camino.

The streets are narrow and confusing. I got lost a lot.
The streets are narrow and confusing. I got lost a lot. The city is on hills so lots of inclines. But the food was great…a very unique experience. If you can handle the walking and have a gps on your phone, you will love it.

You don't have to be catholic to appreciate the historical aspect of this charming city. We attended noon mass one day and visited the crypt with the supposed relics of St. Santiago (James) on another day. Loads of restaurants, shops, the usual touristy stuff. There's a little "tourist train" that costs about $12 for 2 seniors -- during the 45 min. ride, a recording in many languages gives you the latest info.

Two day's is enough to see this City and the Cathedral. The Cathedral is free, but and you must pay for the museum and other sights within the complex. Not expensive. Lots of inexpensive restaurants near the Cathedral. Family run and very reasonable. Some very nice parks nearby. Plenty of shops. Very nice city to visit. very helpful people with locations, directions, etc.

The staff were so helpful. My bag was lost and they went above and beyond to find it even though they had not lost it nor were they responsible for its transport. Phone me several times to keep me in the loop. So incredibly kind.
A kettle, tea bags and coffee sachets! Great treat, as the rest of the hotels i had stayed in over my month in Spain had not had any kettles.
Lovely powerful shower and big soft towels.
Fabulous location, with cathedral 10 mins in one direction and great shopping 10 mins the other way.
Location cannot be beat, a two minute walk from the back door of the cathedral right in the heart of old town pedestrian Santiago. Plus even though it’s close to things, it’s on a quiet square and you can get out of the busyness during tourist and pilgrim season. Especially enjoyed sitting in the garden when I wanted a break from the busyness of the city.
I did breakfast as part of my rate and it was excellent each morning. My room had a beautiful view also of the square that the hotel sits on.
This is my second time staying at this hotel, and it was a great experience. The rooms are spacious, clean, and quite. The location, in my opinion, is great. Itš about 5 minutes from the train and bus station and about 5-10 minutes from Santiago Old Town. There are cafes, stores, and restaurants nearby. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The last time we stayed at the hotel, we forgot something. The staff contacted us and arranged for the forgotten items to be shipped to our location.
This was a nicely maintained facility with helpful staff and up-to-date, comfortable accommodations. The location was diagonally across the road from a stairway that led directly into old quarter streets and a short (and twisty) walk to the cathedral. We had a car and were able to park it at a public facility a short walk from the location. There was regular traffic on the street, but the neighborhood was quiet and free of the usual late-night loudness of Spain's infamous nightlife.
Great shower, comfortable bed, good TV (bonus point for having French channels). Interior-facing room (room 404) very quiet. Very friendly receptionists. Two minutes from the edge of the old town. Quite handy walk (12 minutes or so) to the train and bus stations (build a tramway please, Santiago!). The hotel is located literally just a few seconds from where the airport bus stops in Praza de Galicia (time for an airport train service, Santiago!)
Jhuly and Julio were some the kindest people I’ve met! They went out of their way to take care of me and make me feel at home (they even made me an excellent meal to order as I was exhausted and famished when I arrived). The accommodations are beautiful, the nature is gorgeous and it’s peaceful and relaxing. It’s away from the busy town, but a quick drive to get to the city center. It’s a wonderful place to stay and explore beautiful Spain.
The hotel was a little removed from the old town but could be walked in 20 minutes through green surroundings. Breakfast is available at the premises or can be obtained at several other places within 5 to 10 minutes walk. But the best thing about the Casa Diocesana is the reception staff and the sisters who clean the rooms. All are friendly and helpful especially Maria in reception who is a shining diamond 💎
This was the most amazing experience I’ve had on my recent trip to Spain! The property was so beautiful and the property owners went above and beyond to make my stay over the top enjoyable! The location is perfect to get to anything you need and the rooms are decorated so perfect and the sheets are amazing!
I will be back and for much longer than just 2 nights next time!
Very good location for discovering everything in old town Santiago. The cathedral is about 250 meters from the hotel and Alameda Park (with great views of the old town and cathedral) is 150 meters away. The apartment was very complete (including a small kitchen), comfortable (including aircon) and modern. Very friendly host!
After completing the Camino de Santiago walk (300 km), this was an awesome place to just relax. Professional, personal and most of all comfortable. my room was really really great. Room 301. This hotel was so good I booked once more. what an awesome experience and one of the best breakfast I had in two weeks.
this was my best hotel on my trip! very hospitable hostess and wonderful atmosphere as if you were at home. They even prepared mulled wine for me, although they don't make it in Spain, and it was so good! :) The fire in the stove is cozy. I will return if possible. Above all praise. I highly recommend it!
Warm and welcoming hostal. The best place I stayed in Spain! The room was very clean and comfortable. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful, and were able to give me a list of clinics & info to get a COVID test required for getting back to the States. Location is great. A wonderful place to stay!
The hotel is a fabulous to stay, exceptionally clean and comfortable rooms.
All the staff are so helpful and friendly from check- in to check out. Will stay here if we ever return to Santiago. Best location with easy access to the tourist spots and restaurants.
I loved this historic (rustic in the best sense of the word) hotel located in the same plaza as the Cathedral of Santiago. The service was wonderful with staff being very helpful and accommodating (especially with tending to my car).
Very cute little hotel well situated in the heart of Santiago within 10 min from everywhere. My room was huge, the best thing was the 2x2 bed, I slept so well. The bathroom light mirror was amazing.
