The restaurant has a good selection and very generous portions. The burger is excellent! I highly recommend this hotel, and the entire Tigray region. Another gem that Ethiopia has to offer.

CanadaChris and Saba's home is lovely, we were so comfortable during our brief stay. Chris's garden is beautiful respite from the bustle of Mekele, and both he and Saba were a wealth of knowledge for trip planning. The local honey and fresh guava smoothie at breakfast were an extra treat.

The only reason I can think of for a tourist to go to Mekele...
The only reason I can think of for a tourist to go to Mekele is to brave the trip into the Danakil Depression and to the Erta Ale volcano. And for those who have thought it through carefully and still want to take the plunge, this is the perfect place.
