We had a fantastic 3-night stay at Ruka Trek Gasthaus & Hard Trek Café in Kuusamo, Finland. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome and comfortable. The atmosphere was warm, friendly, and relaxed, and the location was a perfect base for enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Ruka and Kuusamo. Everything about our stay felt easy and enjoyable, and we really appreciated the hospitality. We left with great memories and would happily stay here again. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a friendly and welcoming place to stay in this beautiful part of Finland!

Location was beautiful, view to the mountain from our window. Hiking trails just view steps away from the hotel. Stuff was really helpful, special thanks to young lady at reception:) . Also recommend dining in there, kitchen stuff met our special requests with an ease and it was delicious. Special bonus was private sauna on site, 10e per hour was totally worth it.

The location and the resort was magic. The breakfast was delicious with a many varities for all the tastes. The room was clean and recently renovated.

Great location. Right in the village and walking distance to the lifts.

The “homelike” atmosphere and the unbelievable staff! They really paid attention to your needs and were friendly in a natural way. The sauna and the ice swimming were the perfect topping! The restaurant area with live fire and comfy lounge chairs were perfect for enjoying an after ski drink. The menu and the quality of food were excellent - we had dinner at the restaurant every night - no need to go elsewhere! The chef was very friendly and explained his methods if you were interested. The cross country tracks as well as the slopes are right outside the door.
