Unique location in a small town surrounded by local makers and restaurants. Our room was comfortable, and the waterwheel was right outside our window which provided the perfect noise to fall asleep to. Breakfasts are outstanding. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. We were a little too early in the season to see the alpaca, but by chance we booked our stay for the weekend of Ruukkipäivä, with a craft fair, demonstrations, and presentations (in Finnish) set up around the grounds. Very cool!

This hotel is simply fabulous. I rarely rate something this high. It's right at the river side with beautiful views + literally 5 minutes from the bus station. The staff is extremely helpful. The breakfast is amazing.

This "self-service" (meaning that there is no staff at the reception: you receive the code to enter the building and your room on the day of your check-in) hotel is located in the industrial area of Meriniitty. The location is actually very convenient, as it is about a 10 minutes walk from the train and bus station, and quite close to the city center, too. Note the stairs to the bridge: you do not have to cross the road. The room was very clean and very quiet. On the third floor there is a lounge area with a coffee machine, etc.
