Small city, easy to walk around to get to places in the city...

Small city, easy to walk around to get to places in the city, slippery in the winter, terrain is uphill and down hill sometimes but railings are everywhere. Really good restaurants like Aristova and Barbara.A lovely corner cafe and book store called Paname Supermarkets have nearly everything including GF breads.People are very friendly and help you if and when lost.Must visit the red houses!

Þórshöfn is a lovely town which is well the worth of visit. The town have a beautiful old houses and old streets. I had one of the best steak at the Tarv restaurant and will definitely go there again with first opportunity.

It’s the town center of Faroe Islands.

It’s the town center of Faroe Islands. A charming town but not much to do. There are some good restaurants but the food was a bit on the pricy side, which is understandable considering they may be imported or flown from other places. Getting around the islands by car is fairly easy. It’s feasible to drive to the sightseeing spots on the map within a day, if no hiking is needed. Don’t miss the Mulafossur!

One of my favorite cities (and I've travelled a lot).

One of my favorite cities (and I've travelled a lot). It's the biggest city in the Faroe islands, yet the feeling is different compared to any city in other countries. Peacefull, well maintained beautiful city where you can find everything you need . Lots of restaurants and bars around the harbour area, very easy to find orientate.

Lovely old town, cathedral with pretty garden and turf roves of parliament buildings. Can you find the ancient circle carved into the rock near the water. Good Tourist Info with loo. Lovely lunch in cafe set back from Main Street which also sold cheese. Toasted sourdough sandwich……very nice. Do visit National Art Gallery near cute wooded park with pond……if you can find it……best to ask!

Torshavn is a lovely place to visit, and the local people...

Torshavn is a lovely place to visit, and the local people are very friendly and helpful. It feels very safe overall, and there is enough of interest to sustain a 3/4 day stay. There are good restaurants (some expensive - depending on what you're used to) and there is good quality food on offer. Getting around is easy, with most of the Town being walkable - with the local "Red" busses being free to use. Exploring beyond Torshavn needs planning. Some bus routes offer a morning departure but can have a late return, with not enough interest for the casual traveller at the destination for more than a couple of hours. Be aware that Shops etc. close at 13:00/14:00 on Saturday, and on Sundays everything is closed (including the local busses, and some of the cafes and restaurants!) The ferry to Nolsoy is cheap and only 30 minutes. However, if you are NOT hiking there is only 1 shop/cafe (closes Saturday at 13:00) and 1 other cafe (Maggie's was open, friendly and with basic food (chips/burgers/pizza) and worth a stop). For non-hikers there is only an hour/90 minutes of interest, but you may have a several hour wait for the return. Maybe in peak season it's better - I was there end April.

There was an ok breakfast from 7 am–10 am so you could also sleep in a bit. You could get also coffee and tea for free during the day. Only bad thing was the eggs, there was not possible to get an hard-boiled egg (I asked for one but they were not either hard-boiled). The location is good, close to the city centre. Close to a sea shore with beautiful view of Nólsyarfjørður. The cheapest hotel we could find in Tórshavn which is very expensive.

The apartment is a nice size and well laid out, being both cosy and bright. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked and the shower nice and hot. The location is excellent, close to the main coach station and on a local bus route, as well as being within walking distance of many sights of Torshavn. There is a small supermarket very close by with long opening hours. The WiFi was excellent as well. I had a great stay!

Great location if coming over from Denmark or Iceland on the Smyril Ferry. It was convenient, quiet, and comfortable, and offered free parking right out the front door. But the best part was breakfast. That may be the best breakfast buffet I have had in a hotel in many years. Fresh fruit, yogurt, 2 types of eggs, 3 or 4 kinds of breads. Try the Rhubarb Jam. So yummy!

Great and modern Hotel with nice view over the city. The Staff is exceptionally friendly. The fitness room is well equipped and fully functional. The room itself is spacious and with fast WiFi (100 MBit/s down | 400 MBit/s up). Special requests are handled without any problems. Breakfast has a good selection, juice and coffee is included. We really enjoyed our stay.

Everything went very smoothly. The hosts were responsive, provided local suggestions, and even left us a nice little welcome gift upon arrival. The beds were also exceptionally comfortable and the kitchen worked perfectly for the meals we decided to cook at home. Finally, the location was also perfect for our time around Torshavn.

Great place to stay when visiting the Faroe Islands - Marna also offers cheap car hire and was really responsive when I asked questions before arriving. Her place is a great base for exploring the Islands - clean rooms and bathrooms like a hotel but with sociable space like a hostel. We met some lovely people during our say :)

Location was easily walkable from center of Torshavn. Property overall was nice, fully functional kitchen, had a washer and dryer for use, warm shower, and was very clean. Clear check in instructions were sent. Wi-Fi worked great. Didn’t directly deal with any staff but they are very responsive through WhatsApp.

Really nice and spacious apartment. Would almost define it as a house. Fantastic view of Tórshavn and Nólsoy from the kitchen and living room. It's even better than the pictures here on booking.com. We were able to park our car right in front of the house.

New and modern interior. The hotel has a large outdoor parking space and it's well connected to major routes out of Torshavn. Breakfast selection was very good. We especially enjoyed the selection of local craft beers in the Lobby Bar.

It’s very clean, spacious and cozy at the same time. the owner is very friendly, often present in the guesthouse and has a lot of nice tips for exploring the Faroe Islands. There is usually a parking space in front of the property.
