Tamarissiere is a perfect place from which to explore the Languedoc. There is a ferry taxi which goes back and forth across the Herault River so you can visit Grau d'Agde for shops, bars, cafes, restaurants, the several weekly markets and their beautiful beach. We used Sun7 sun beds and parasols to enjoy the weather, swim and be waited on. The Mediterranean is 'just there' for swimming, jet skiing, beach combing and more. It's a little peace of heaven on Earth.

While the area is small on this side of the L'Herault River,...
While the area is small on this side of the L'Herault River, there is all you need: Shops for groceries, restaurants, parking for the beach and Hiking Trails.
The bigger supermarkets are not far away. A small bot ride over the river and you have a nice market.

We really went to Agde to see Chateau Laurens, which did not...
We really went to Agde to see Chateau Laurens, which did not disappoint (if you like art nouveau style, which I do!). So I enjoyed it for that alone, but then Agde turned out to be a small but interesting little town with a long and rich history. There were also plenty of great eating options (even for us vegetarians). Then there were the beaches, not far away, and Cap d'Agde, and plenty of walks. If I'd know, I would have booked an extra day or two for more walks, and a proper beach day.

Agde is a beautiful location but it is important to remember...
Agde is a beautiful location but it is important to remember it is contained between 2 rivers so it’s essential to have transport to visit the places you can see from the beach there. That said there is plenty to do within the beach area and port. There is a small passenger boat that operates in certain hours too!

Lovely modern room. Very spacious. Equipped with everything you need. Great air conditioning unit. Bed was very comfortable and the room was exceptionally clean. The toilet and shower facilities were also exceptionally clean and modern. Nice outdoor space with a pool. Convenient location in Agde centre with a shop only a 5 mins walk away. It was a very peaceful and quiet location. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Great value for money and I would stay again if I am ever in the area.

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times in the past. I was very happy to meet the new hotel owners on this visit. They have done a great job over the past 12 months to re-fresh the hotel. The new bed was super comfortable, the air-conditioning was appreciated and the breakfast was great value. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I wish them all the best as they continue their renovation project. I look forward to my next visit. :)

La chambre était très propre et l’ambiance de l’hôtel est vraiment très chouette. Les propriétaires sont très gentils et accueillants.
L’hôtel est situé à seulement 10 minutes à pied du centre historique d’Agde, et à environ 10 minutes en voiture du Grau d’Agde et du Cap d’Agde.
Je recommande vivement cet endroit ! Et si je reviens dans la région, je le choisirai à nouveau sans hésiter.

The apartment was in the perfect location for a stay in the historic centre of Agde, with beautiful views and great bars and restaurants on your doorstep and easy access to lovely walks along the river. Excellent communication with the host and easy to find. Free parking, buses and trains close by.
