We really went to Agde to see Chateau Laurens, which did not disappoint (if you like art nouveau style, which I do!). So I enjoyed it for that alone, but then Agde turned out to be a small but interesting little town with a long and rich history. There were also plenty of great eating options (even for us vegetarians). Then there were the beaches, not far away, and Cap d'Agde, and plenty of walks. Agde is a beautiful location but it is important to remember...
Agde is a beautiful location but it is important to remember it is contained between 2 rivers so it’s essential to have transport to visit the places you can see from the beach there. I was very happy to meet the new hotel owners on this visit. They have done a great job over the past 12 months to re-fresh the hotel. The new bed was super comfortable, the air-conditioning was appreciated and the breakfast was great value. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The nearest supermarket is 5 minutes drive away. The apartment is very well equipped, and thoughtfully done. The bed is the most comfortable I’ve slept in! It was spotlessly clean on arrival.
