Breakfast very satisfactory. Because we arrived in the evening, surrounding restaurants were closed, so the host prepared a small meal for us with wine. Very kind to do that at 10pm. We had a great stay in an enormous room. The host also showed us around the Chateau next morning. It is clear he is very proud of what he is doing. My wife engaged in great conversation with hostess who is originally from Portugal.

The kitchen, living room, and bathroom are large. The whole house is very well done. It was close to a main road and you can see cars as they go by (off to the side; the main view is of the vineyards), but you cannot hear them at all.

A bright, clean, modern hotel, just right for an overnight stop - very easy to find immediately off the autoroute from Bordeaux. The lack of dining room ( this is a 2 star hotel) was no problem as the helpful proprietor recommended a number of restaurants nearby in Langon. ( The Spanish tapas restaurant La Barrique at 32 Rue Maubec was superb, with a blind tasting of wine to accompany our meal!!) Very good secure free parking. Proprietors own a vinyard and a tasting was available - we chose the Rose!
