We were on a big road trip from the north of France to the south of Spain, driving in a car with a roof box, so I couldn't deal with anywhere with an underground car park. Les Criquets has its own secure car park, so that was the first reason I chose it. And what a good choice it was. The place was perfectly situated just to the north of Bordeaux, we were given a very friendly welcome from Madame and she was more than happy for us to have our two small dogs in our room for a very reasonable surcharge. Blanquefort station is only 5 minutes from the hotel and you can take a tram from there into the centre of Bordeaux. It's a 25-minute journey and you don't have to worry about car parking. The hotel spa is also excellent with a swimming, sauna, and steam room. We also spoilt ourselves with a massage. The whole spa is kept scrupulously clean, as is the whole hotel. We didn't eat in the hotel, but there was an excellent bistro 10 minutes walk from the hotel at which we ate both nights of our visit. Breakfast in the hotel was simple but exactly what was required.

Lovely family made us feel very welcome in their home, the accommodation was so comfortable we wished we could stay another night. We really enjoyed chatting with Juliette & Leah in French & English. Highly recommend staying here with the Clement family and their menagerie of pets... 5 chickens, 3 cats and Rosa the beautiful dog ♥️

Beautiful and quiet setting in the countryside with exclusive parking inside an electric gated drive. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. Nice bathroom and shower area. The pool area and garden setting are fabulous and much needed in hot weather. Mostly everything needed to cook is provided in the kitchenette. Just a few minutes drive to a huge supermarket. Well placed to reach any area of Bordeaux in a short drive. The owners are discreet and very helpful, and we had a lovely welcome gift of local cakes.

Good ratio quality/price hotel. The location was ideal for us, because we had our workplace just few hundreds meters from the hotel. The breakfast was delicious and really enough. Cheese, meat, bread (baguette), fruits, fruit juices, coffee. The bathroom ist simple but clean.

Cosy, light filled and well equipped tiny home away from home. The hosts have thought of everything one might need on a trip: in addition to the well stocked kitchen there are materials for things to do in the area and local transportation, toiletries and even sunscreen for when using the pool. Super responsive hosts. Quiet residential area, 5 min walk to a bakery and less than 10 min to a center of Blanquefort. Hypoallergenic sheets.

This is the second time I have stayed at the hotel, and I was welcomed by Madame as if I were a regular. It is a perfect place to stop off on my way from North of France to south of Spain. Real bonuses are the off road parking and the place being pet friendly. I didn’t use the spa this time (although it was hugely relaxing the last time) but I did have a really good night’s sleep and an excellent breakfast the following morning.

This is a wonderful Chateau Hotel. It was a pleasure to stay here and be treated to delightful accommodation and gardens. The staff were very friendly and helpful but also unobtrusive, at times making it feel like you had the chateau all to yourself. The breakfast was good with small but adequate options. The in house dining was also very good if you are only wanting a small meal after a long day out and about sightseeing.

This is a really beautiful boutique hotel and all the staff were delightful. We received a very warm welcome from the moment we arrived . The rooms are beautiful and the gardens and pool are also superb. This hotel is a real gem on the banks of the Gironde. If you want to explore the left bank wines of Bordeaux then this is a great place to stay.

Not worth the money for a 4-star hotel. The building and gardens are beautifully maintained, and the swimming pool with towels and toys was a big plus. We also enjoyed the little house by the pier and the cosy lounge with a chess set. Despite some lovely features, we found the value for money disappointing.
