This is a very unusual location at first sight, the road is busy and relatively unassuming in looks, however we stayed in a top of this large house apartment with its' own terrace with views above of the old chateau and opposite direction to the river Seine, we caught this on a spring day sunset and it was lovely. The attention to design detail and the quality of fixtures and fittings is clearly evident and much appreciated. Our lady host was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and served in a charming room in the main house, all in all a little gem and if in the area will certainly look forward to returning . The only caveat (unless we somehow missed it) was there was no air conditioning, which was a great surprise considering the overall quality of this apartment and as a loft room would be very warm in the summer months!

Many thanks to Bruno and Laurent for this wonderful stay. We truly enjoyed being guests at Maison Carpe Diem. The building is beautifully situated with a view of the church and Chateau Gaillard. The banks of the Seine are just a few steps away, and restaurants and shops are within easy walking distance. The rooms are beautiful and decorated with great attention to detail; the whole house invites you to feel right at home. In the morning, we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast that was freshly prepared and left nothing to be desired. Bruno and Laurent are very attentive and exceedingly friendly hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and can unreservedly recommend a stay. Thank you, Bruno and Laurent, for this wonderful start to our holiday. We would love to come back!

The hosts were so welcoming and attentive to any questions we had, and really made us feel at home. The property itself was super lovely, very clean, and private. It was perfect for our couples getaway. There was even a garden area and a terrace with a grill. The property location was close to the sights we wanted to see in Giverny (about a 25 min. drive), and the town of Les Andelys was very nice too. There was also a designated space to park our car. Highly recommend!
