Very easy to find. Had a great welcome from Dean and Jo on arrival and were shown to our fabulous room. We immediately felt at home with tea and coffee making facilities too. This was a welcome sight after a few hours in the car. We sat on the chairs provided at the front of our room listening to the birds and watching the red squirrels playing in the woods opposite by the river… sheer bliss! We both had a wonderful sleep, the bed, duvet and pillows were very comfy. The bathroom and shower are beautifully finished and were perfect for all our needs. We had a lovely continental breakfast that was delivered at the time we requested just outside the inner bedroom door. It set us up for the day nicely. On leaving Jo kindly showed us around the yoga studio and the back garden where further works are continuing to extend the chambre d’hôte business. A lovely stay and would highly recommend anyone to stay here for a lovely warm welcoming and comfortable stay.

Just 10 minutes from our appointment location in Bellac yet wonderfully peaceful. Donna and John could not do more to make our stay any better and made us immensely welcome. The room is amply sized and had everything we needed.

The house, our room, the location, the breakfast, and our charming hosts were all fantastic! We had a wonderful time staying in Maison Pistache, our only regret is that we couldn’t stay for longer. The location is about as central as you could get with parking right outside and all the main sights, restaurants and shops within walking distance. The house is beautifully decorated, the gardens are lovely and the host family honestly the nicest people you could hope to meet. We hope to return very soon….

The location suited us perfectly. Quiet and rural. The host was lovely, we don’t speak much French and he no English but we got everything we needed. The closest village Le Dorat is about 3kms away and not a lot of food options so prepare in advance to cook at the studio or book a restaurant or go to Bellac. The La Petite Fontaine bar in Le Dorat was very welcoming. It has new English speaking owners who were renovating but will be doing meals soon.

The very warm welcome by Julie and Malcolm. They couldn't do enough for us and provided everything you could need. Breakfast was amazing. Great location with restaurants open on a Sunday evening. We will definitely return.
