L'Arche des Chapeliers features city views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Foix, a 12-minute walk from Foix Castle. It was our first visit to the area and we were very fortunate to find this lovely B&B. Sonia was so very welcoming from the moment we arrived. We were able to park off road in her garage. We had both suites and everything was so clean. The beds were really comfy with lovely bedding and the lounge areas were spacious with everything we could need for our stay. The breakfast was plentiful including lovely bread and pastries. The location was great and we could see the castle from our bedroom window! We would definitely recommend Sonia’s wonderful home.

In the region of the pyrenees you need staff who can speak several languages not just French. If you are not happy with the quality of food you should be able to refuse payment not have them take it out of your bank that is illegal.
We were there for the Tour de France. Town offers good shopping, markets on Tuesday & Fridays + smaller ones on other days. Numerous cafes spill out into the main shaded avenue. A compact town with an historic core and a castle that MUST be visited. The castle has re-oppened in 2019 after a revamp and has excellent, modern IT-based interpretation. There are also activities - archery, forge work, practice stone masonry + watch a trebuchet in action. Staff are in period costume and make this an experience and not just a visit. Well worth the 12 euros. Adults & children alike will learn a great deal about Cathar France. The main musem is accessible to wheelchair users, the main castle requires some climbing. Several Cathar castles close by plus Carcassonne and Mirepix which are worth a visit. Consider a trip to the Med (Narbonne/Beziers) and Andorra whilst you are in Foix. There are numerous walks zig-zaging up the mountains.
A beautiful town with easy access to fast roads and other pretty villages. Close to water sports, caves, walking and Cathar castles. Some of the supermarkets closed early on a Sunday, which was unexpected in such a tourist area. Foix Castle is well worth a visit for the views and activities laid on for the children. We visited Ax Les Thermes and the caves at Naiux and tried stand up paddle boarding in the river.
Couldn't get parking anywhere. It was a Monday morning and not during tourist season and there wasn't a market on anywhere. I kept driving round and round. In the end, I gave up, so I didn't really get to see Foix, which was a pity because it looked lovely.
Disappointing. Scruffy, largely closed, too much noisy traffic, and a fair few disreputables in the streets in the evening. Hard to find your way around. Not great. Spent a week in this part of southern France, and all the places we went to were wonderful in their different ways. Great history, great scenery, geat food, great vibe - Foix was the one lowlight of the entire trip. Sorry, but that’s what we experienced... :(
Very little open on a Sunday evening which made it difficult to find somewhere to eat. The centre is congested with traffic and there are too few pedestrian areas which makes sightseeing difficult. The town needs more traffic free areas. However, there are some very nice restaurants and on a warm evening there is a lovely atmosphere in the town.

The lady who owns the Chambre d'hote is extremely friendly and works very hard to ensure her guests have a lovely stay. The room was large, very comfortable and very relaxing. The house has a lovely outdoor area where guests can sit and relax. The breakfast is delicious which includes homemade jams. The lady also runs a restaurant that I highly recommend, the food is simply delicious. Foix is very close and very accessible from the property and so it is an excellent place to stay if visiting Foix and the surrounding area.

Franck and Pawel made use feel very welcome from the start. The rooms were beautifully decorated and they opened onto the garden and pool area. We used the studio kitchen to eat as a family, so didn't have the breakfast option. Our teenagers enjoyed having a tv each, with Netflix and Wifi. Although we were sharing their home, it wasn't an issue as we respected each others privacy. Foix is a great base for exploring the area, with loads to see and do.

Perfect studio apartment in beautiful countryside a few kilometres outside Foix. Elodie was charming and helpful. The furniture and fittings were fine and the apartment was well equipped with tea, coffee, milk, salt, pepper and lots more. We asked for breakfast the first morning and the leftover food lasted us the rest of our stay!
A delightful old building, more than 100 years old, beautifully and thoughtfully renovated. Right in the heart of Foix, plenty of parking nearby. Great restaurants in the area, an easy walk to the Chateau de Foix
This hotel is a bit outside town, however, its on the lake. The beds were clean, comfortable and the water in the shower was hot! The staff were very helpful and extremely friendly.
The staff were friendly and the price was very reasonable. Room was clean and beds were decently comfortable. It was a good hotel for a one night stop.
It was a pretty standard hotel. Clean. Comfortable. The best part was watching the sheep from our window and listening to their bells.
Best place was location of hotel close to town centre. Staff friendly and accommodation adequate.
Nice hotel to stay. Good for one night. Very good breakfast ☺
