I have visited Granville on many occasions over the last few decades.
There is quiet a lot to do/see.There is the Christian Dior museum to visit.
On this occasion I did not eat in any establishment,as I was taking part in the twinning games & we were catered for by the organisers.
Everything is virtually within walking distance. There is a bus service.

Great atmosphere with lots going on.
Great atmosphere with lots going on.
Should have had covered seating!! it was over 30, and very hot in the Sun.
Unfortunately we got to the Budget Ibis out of town at gone 12 midnight,
hot and sweaty after a full day in over 30 degrees, only to find in our room the rubbish bin full, used mugs on the sink and NO TOWELS.
The next morning there were no Busses to town!! and the receptionist could not find a Taxi to take us to town?

Granville lived up to its reputation as ‘the Monaco of the North’. Underrated in my view. Really pretty, plenty of shops, restaurants, history and stunning sea views and walks. Was a great location to visit Mont St Michel from too and easy to get to and from the Cherbourg ferryport.

The port is lovely, and unfortunately we didn't spend more than a night there but they have good restaurants in the port area with stunning views. We chose to stay there on the way between the Honfleur/Corseulles-sur-Mer and le Mont Saint-Michel, but could easily have taken an extra day there.

Good atmosphere. nice to sit at a bar at 5 0' clock nand watch the world pass by.
Ate at "Le Ponton" and twice at the "Restaurant du Port"
Both restaurants excellent food, ambience and good value.
exceptional sea front position opt for sea facing if you can extend your budget a little was highlight sleeping with windows open to the sound of the sea during still warm September evenings. The staff at reception were very helpful and friendly. they made sure we knew car park was difficult and to take care and we managed to get our 7 series bmw in ok -2 is best. parking is an issue here but it’s good to have an on site car park with lifts directly to beach and rooms and considering
it’s built into rock it’s a bonus!
Liked everything, keep in mind you are in old town so although parking is free it is limited at best and sometimes requires a walk to the room. Also remember the building is old and do not expect the Ritz. Also you will need to go up a few flight of stairs. That aside, the host is kind, apartment well prepared with all necessities. Beautiful location with lot's to see along the Ocean and a short 10min walk to main "new" city center.
The apartment is lovely, nicely decorated, in an ok condition for a budget accommodation. Bright bedroom with two windows facing the street. It is located in the centre within walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Not far from a big free parking. Two good supermarkets in the neighbourhood. Pleasant walk to the old town centre, local beach and villa of Christian Dior.
The location is outstanding with a sea view from the front and a view of the bay and town at the back - we loved sitting on our balcony admiring it. The hotel has an underground car park, lovely terraces and a bar with sea views. Our room was clean, well equiped, quiet and comfortable - what more does one need?
Food in the restaurant was incredible. Genuinely some of the best food I’ve ever eaten in a hotel. Rooms were basic but clean, bathrooms looked as if they’ve been updated recently. Free parking on road outside hotel but spaces could be tricky to find.
lovely old town charm. quiet. charming breakfast room. great bar nearby. most of all the owner was a star. he collected us from the train station and booked restaurants for us - we always had the best table! he really was exceptional
Great to be met by host (who was very punctual when we arrived and when we were leaving) and shown around the apartment. It is a lovely spacious, clean apartment which was ideal for us to visit Granville and surrounding area.
The location was good as you could walk to town and harbour. Parking of car was difficult at times as public car park was full and no No.20 parking place at apartments. We found it very difficult to find the property.
Great location - on the water front. Lots of good restaurants close by. Great walking trail along the coast. Very large corner room with view and extra sitting area. Really everything you would need at a fair price.
- Location: 10min of walking to the city center and 15min from the old city at the castle.
- Easy parking either in front of the house or at 200m in a free Parking area.
- Clean apartment.

Duplex rooms were nice and spacious, airco in both sections of the room and a balcony, which we always like. Location of the hotel is perfect, with a hotelprivate door to the beach, very nice.
Breakfast was ok. The room was very small, the bathroom also very small. A Hotel, witch has guests from other countries, should have english speaking staff St the reception.
