The apartment was beautiful. It had everything we needed - and lovely touches including a small bowl of sweets. It was quite a large apartment compared to some we have stayed in. It was near a busy road junction but noise was never a problem. Parking was no problem either. Quite a central location for us to explore the northern Alsace region.

Such a beautiful room facing the trees, the spa is so calm and with lots of choices, the staff are very helpful and the breakfast and dinner are delicious. It's a magical oasis and we keep coming back.

I selected Hôtellerie du Couvent Oberbronn because it was extremely well situated in terms of the historic battlefields I wanted to visit. It was an excellent base for my various day trips. Everything about the property impressed me, from the helpfulness of the staff on reception to the quality of the accommodation. I particularly liked that the room was very well set up without being over the top. I felt that this was in keeping with the fact that it was within a working nunnery. I also found the restaurant excellent. An extremely wide menu and very quick service by the waiting staff and kitchen staff. Likewise, breakfast was of a really good quality and nice variety. I was only a guest for one night, but I wished I had stayed longer.

I arrived a little late into midnight and the staff was still welcoming. I made a mistake in my booking, the staff was very kind and accommodative. The rooms were clean and great location. If i ever visit this place, I would very happily choose this place again.

Nothing here but a bunch of stores, you MUST eat elsewhere...

Nothing here but a bunch of stores, you MUST eat elsewhere because there is nothing in Gundershoffen (and I'd avoid Bitche as well as we ate very poorly there). That's really the issue is finding something decent to eat in the vicinity! Maybe it would have been better to go to Hagenau to eat. In any case, the major sites are all about 1h away.
