Landhotel Bohrerhof is absolutely amazing. Very nice, modern minimalistic design, meticulously clean, beautiful spacious rooms, most comfortable beds, great breakfast, maxibar with free coffee and tea in the lobby. I have to say the facilities look more like those in a five star hotel, you don’t usually expect something like that in a landhotel.

We stayed 5 nights at the hotel during the Christmas market. The hotel is unique and very beautiful, a large room with a coffee machine and a refrigerator with cold drinks of water and juices that are given every day free of charge. large bath. The location of the hotel is fantastic, a few minutes' walk to all the Christmas markets in the city of Strasbourg. The hotel staff was so kind and helpful in everything and all the staff without exception were always smiling and patient. Good breakfast and the food in the bar was simply excellent.

My husband and I usually stay in moderately-priced hotels, but decided to treat ourselves to a little more upscale stay at the Hotel Volkshaus Basel for one night! Wow! I was not prepared for the luxury that awaited us! From the hallway coffee/water/chocolate station; to the gorgeous courtyard view; to the lovely accommodations with separate shower and toilet rooms; to the lavish breakfast the following morning - the Volkshaus did not disappoint! If I could rate the hotel above a 10, I would do so in a quick second! Our stay here was one of the highlights of our trip!

Every thing! We went for a spa weekend with our french bulldog (which sleeps a lot) and everything was perfect. The room was comfortable with enough space to walk around, the bathroom was very warm. This room was a little outdated but very charming. The spa facilities are definitely high standards, 2 different sauna, a hamman, a pool with jacuzzi space, everything is made to relax. The restaurant was also great, food was qualitative and servings a good size. The staff were very nice, helpful and friendly. Special ++ for the delicious easter cake on the door step on the Sunday morning!

The room was small but cozy, clean and equipped with everything we needed. The breakfast had the best French Toast I've had in a long time, the lunch buffet was very tasty (and healthy!). The Yonaguni SPA is really a next level experience, I was a bit sceptical at the start but it exceeded my expectations - very large, with so many things to explore. We enjoyed our visit to Strasbourg.

We enjoyed our visit to Strasbourg. We did a lot of walking through the old part. We took the boat trip which was worthwhile. We had lovely weather and were able to eat outdoors. Our hotel was near the train station which was ideal for us because we were taking trains across France. We don't mind walking, so it did not bother us that the hotel was about a ten minute walk into the old town. Very easy to get around town. Beautiful and safe city.

If you are in your 20-30s and have no problems walking, 2-3 days in Colmar is enough. You can pretty much see all the old town in 1 day and do some shipping in the next day. Any longer trip, you'd be doing the same things in repeat.

We came specifically to see the French national railway...

We came specifically to see the French national railway museum. Which turned out to be very good. Also found, that the nearby Museé du Electropolis is great, but unfortunately we had not enough time to appreciate it fully.

The locals are very kind and warm people.

The locals are very kind and warm people. I truly miss their sincere ‘bonjour’ greetings now that I’m back home. One warm and mature lady, in tourist office was so genuine and kind when she shared information with me — it truly touched me.”

Eguisheim is one of several quaint, fairy tale villages in...

Eguisheim is one of several quaint, fairy tale villages in Alsace. It's smaller than most of the others but that's what I liked about it. A few very good restaurants. Timothy's brewery owned by a couple with French and American ties, great folks and great beer - a must-visit. Village was laid out back in the day in a circular manner with two "ramparts", fun to just stroll around the outskirts, particularly in the evenings after the crowds have left. You won't find any lively nightlife if that's what you're after but that's ok by me.

This is a very charming old town, very colourful and...

This is a very charming old town, very colourful and historical, in the midst of the Alsace vineyards. A stay of 2-3 days is enough to take in the local history, the delightful shops and the surrounding countryside.

Good food in several restaurants in the car-free old town...

Good food in several restaurants in the car-free old town area. Lots of walking and bicycling paths. Good travel connections. Friendly people. Spent two days up in the Val d’Argent at the European Quilt Meeting.

We were pleasantly surprised by our stay, especially for the price. The rooms were nice, clean, and spacious enough, with the added convenience of parking and being super close to the tram. The breakfast was absolutely delicious! Even though we expected to share a bathroom, we were happy to find a shower in the room, only the toilets were shared.

I had a very pleasant stay in Saint-Louis.

I had a very pleasant stay in Saint-Louis. The apartment on Rue de Michelfelden is in a quiet and convenient area, very close to the Swiss border and Basel, which makes it perfect for travelers visiting the tri-country region of France, Switzerland, and Germany. The neighborhood is peaceful and well located, with supermarkets, bakeries, and transport nearby. Saint-Louis itself is a charming town in Alsace, known for its excellent location near Basel and the EuroAirport, making it easy to travel around the region. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well organized, ideal for a short stay. Check-in was smooth and everything was easy to access. Overall, it was a very convenient and pleasant place to stay, and I would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Saint-Louis or Basel.

Ribeauville had lots of visitors during the Christmas...

Ribeauville had lots of visitors during the Christmas markets time so parking was at a premium. Be prepared to have to park and walk or use and pay for Park&Ride. Lots of restaurants but most required dinner reservations.
