We loved the restaurant though only open the first night, beautiful property & grounds though very quiet other than road noise. Food in restaurant was the best, wish it was open more as closed Tues & Wed.

Friendly staff’s professional and welcoming. Was given a bunk bed which I don’t need. Overall in room facility was well design and in good condition. I would like to have kettle and tea station.
Adequate space in the shower and seperate toilet is nice. For the fee I paid for the overall experience is good. There were kfc and McDonald’s within 2 mins walk which was very convenient.

A bright, very well-equipped apartment, very close to the centre of Selestat. Very friendly and helpful owner. Huge terrace (but unfortunately the weather wasn't suitable for spending time on it). Good, free, secure, on-site parking. Great heating.

I didn't have the opportunity to like. The host cancelled just before going to spend Saturday night there because of a problem of heater "since a while". He should simply don't allow to do the booking or not accept the confirmation, or just cancel it. Not convince me to cancel just before even saturating with phone calls on Friday during my working hours.

Very nice spacious apartment within 10min walking from the city center of Selestat. Apartment is very nicely decorated and has everything on offer that you need. Owners are very friendly and helpful and welcomed us with some very tasty Bretzels! We loved our stay!

We chose to stay here as it seemed to be a good midpoint between Colmar and Strasbourg, both of which we intended to visit. However, upon arriving we abandoned plans to visit Strasbourg and instead spent the day in and around Selestat, is it was so lovely and not nearly as filled with tourists as Colmar had been. In particular, the tour through the castle nearby (Haut-Koenigsbourg) was outstanding. Also well worth visiting was the Bibliotheque Humaniste. We left wishing we'd spent a bit more time in this beautiful town - definitly a hidden gem!

Selestat was a very well placed town to explore the Alsace...
Selestat was a very well placed town to explore the Alsace region of France. It was smaller than both Strasbourg and Colmar and centrally located between those towns. Selestat had the same charm of these larger towns and we were able to make easy day trips to the larger towns and the many small villages in between. We took a week to allow easy exploration of the region, including some of the Vosges mountain range.
Selestat had a good range of casual and higher end dining options, but without the crowds of bigger towns.

Historical town centre.
Historical town centre. Helpful and friendly tourist office in main square and get a map to follow so that you don't miss anything as lots to see. A must is the Bibliothèque des Humanistes, also in main square, really worth a visit. Lots of choice of restaurants or options for a lighter lunch.

Small friendly town, with all amenities.
Small friendly town, with all amenities. Great outdoor water playground for children near cafes. Weekend markets and friendly atmosphere. Centrally located near many attractions. Easily reached from major raids. Pretty French town.
Fantastic location for Alsace and view from the apartment, with it being winter didn’t use the balcony but the views were incredible. Had everything we needed and the owner was great organising our arrival and explaining everything.
Location was not too bad as it reached selestat city center in few minutes drives. We find the breakfast rather expensive( 14eur/person) so we chose to eat outside the premises which was good enough to our morning needs.
