The Lions de Beauclerc is situated in the heart of the historic village of Lyons la ForêT. At the Lions de Beauclerc you will discover a refined and warm decor. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. When enjoying a glass of wine outside of our room, an employee brought us nice glasses, ice and a small dish of crackers to enjoy. He went out of his way to make our time enjoyable.

La Roseraie du Prieure is located in Rosay-sur-Lieure and offers a garden and a terrace. This bed and breakfast has free private parking and a shared lounge. Super friendly and helpful host even though they don't speak English. One of the cutest houses I've ever seen and the room is pretty too. The bathroom was excellent as well. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. I was alone and I had enough food for probably 3 people. Lastly there is a lovely cat at the house who is very friendly. Cats usually don't like me but Alfred was a friendly host :)
Located in Le Tronquay, this traditional B&B has a big park with barbecue facilities and free private parking. Free WiFi internet access is provided. One of the best B&B I have experienced so far. The breakfast was excellent and the service very good. The reception was very poor and unfriendly. No attempt was made to show us around the hotel and our rooms smelled musty and unaired. One of our rooms had a bottle of water but no tea and the other had tea but no bottled water. The pillows were old and lumpy and the duvets very heavy. We ate in the Bistro on the first night and the waiter was quite rude. The tables were uneven and the food was not at all good. The soup was cold and the fish was unpleasant.

A wonderful welcome from the hosts. The room is full of character and has modern facilities. Oleg our host is so interesting to talk to and there are many books available in the room to browse through and to learn a little more about the area. Breakfast was delivered to our door. The room is on the edge of the village with a 10 minute walk to the centre of Lyons-la-Fôret which is charming. All in all a delightful stay.

Like staying in old places with character, since I travel frequently for business. Business hotels are OK, but they tend to lack emotion. The staff were very conscious we would arrive late and even called to check we were on our way and give details on how to arrive and access the room. The town is pretty, the hotel is right in the center.

The hotel is beautifully restored, however, our room was quite small and up two flights of stairs. There was no offer to help with our bags. The spa was lovely and the staff there excellent. We ate a the restaurant for a sister hotel which was quite good. Lyons-la-Foret is a beautiful little town.
