We have visited many Plus Beaux Village de France but was...
We have visited many Plus Beaux Village de France but was suprised to find such a lovely one this far North. It was completely unspoilt deep in a forest, suprise! One house had the date of 1492 carved on it.

We did day trips to Chateau de Vasceuil and Rouen - Lyons-la-foret as very beautiful and the hotel blends very sympathetically with it all and uses local buildings cleverly - pleasant, friendly staff - we had two mini houses - lovely living rooms and little kitchenettes so perfect for our family, reasonably comfortable BUT not as comfortable as the hotel rooms themselves (also stayed last June) - decent breakfast

We ate in the Bistro which was fabulous and Abdul was excellent in advising us on the dishes and wine his cheerful personality made the evening special. The hotel is situated in a delightful village.

A charming traditional farm with old buildings and stables. The owner and her friendly dog greeted us on arrival and gave us a tour around the stables.
