The decor was really lovely with great attention to detail. The lady who owns the place was very friendly and accommodating. The place was very clean. It was well placed for visiting Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines. There is a very convenient and wonderful bakery a short walk away.

I booked the room to take off on a three day hike early the morning thereafter, and for this the hotel was just fine. The location - very close to the train station, and in the centre of the town. The breakfast was just fine - lots of varied fresh fruit, decent coffee, normal French bread and baguette, ham and cheese. (But that's it, nothing special, no freshly cooked eggs or the like.) Very spacey room and bathroom. Beds, duvets and pillows very good. Shower: water pressure good, lots of room.
