A beautiful location directly on the river, view of the bridge and the Rushing Waters especially from the spa. Staff very helpful and attentive especially Lina who arranged for a massage , interpreted my questions , manage reservations for local dinner options and a strong professional in her capacity. The restaurant is excellent, and worth a trip itself. and the location is in the center of the village which provides opportunities to travel to many local villages.

The hotel was great, super quiet and warm, as requested. I had had a long 2 days of travel coming all the way from New Mexico to Toulouse by way of Madrid without a break. I was very tired. My train to Moissac was cancelled due to an agricultural strike. I called the hotel to cancel. The owner answered and very kindly offered to come pick me up. In fact, he insisted. Under normal conditions, it’s an hour each way, but with the strike, many roads were closed, it was closer to 2 hours each way. Imagine someone that kind. He was also very entertaining, full of jokes and local stories. It was an experience and act of kindness I have never had and I will never forget. The next morning while having a great breakfast he gave a lot of very useful information as I was just starting to walk the Chemin St Jacques. Anyway, I thoroughly recommend this place just on its own merits. But the pleasure of interacting with Gabby (that’s phonetical) makes it a special experience.

Véronique was communicative ahead of my stay to make arrangements for my arrival and was flexible when my train left a little after checkout time. The room was comfortable, and in the morning she had prepared a lovely breakfast and we had a nice conversation. I only stayed one night, so I did not make much use of the common areas, but between the two salons and the outdoor area it would be a wonderful place to have a home away from home. The location is great, just steps away from the Abbaye de Moisaac and the town center, and an easy 10 minute walk to the train station. Would stay again!

We stayed at Maison Lydia one night of our 3 day cycling tour on the Canal de Garonne. Our host, Beatrice, could not have been more welcoming. We were a bit delayed on the road due to a flat tire and she communicated with us proactively to make sure she would be there to welcome us when we arrived. We were able to store our bikes in the locked garage. The house itself is spotless, the rooms and bathrooms are very clean and modern and thoughtfully furnished / appointed with everything you need. Beatrice made sure we were settled in, took our breakfast order and gave us great dinner recommendations in Moissac's historic center. We had our meal in the lively central square in the shadow of the Moissac Abbey (a UNESCO World Heritage site) - just a 5 minute walk from the guesthouse. Breakfast was super tasty and fresh (including the delicious jam made by Beatrice's mother!). The guesthouse also welcomes pilgrims traveling on the Camino de Santiago and has a lovely sitting room and dining room with fireplace which would be super cozy in the colder months.

Moissac is a small town with a big and important abbey.

Moissac is a small town with a big and important abbey. We loved the relaxed atmosphere (eg free parking), the covered market open in the morning with fresh produce, the restaurants and cafes in near to the abbey. We also enjoyed a free concert in the abbey itself after a downpour ended chances of an outdoor performance. We found the people friendly and helpful. There are a range of eating options and a lovely walk along the canal. Moissac is also a good place from which to explore the surrounding area including bastides, some of which are virtually tourist-free (at least when we visited).

Moissac old town square is great but I would not stay...

Moissac old town square is great but I would not stay anywhere else in Moissac. I was there on a Monday and all of the cute little shops were closed. We ate at a great little place called La Terrasse. The food was delicious but the service was a little slow which was the case at most eating establishments in France. If you don't speak French expect to wait. : (. The train station was within walking distance. I love the trains in France. So easy to get around.

Excellent place for a day trip, or a stop over on the Canal de Garonne. Be warned though, not much to do at night, and a bit of a weird vibe from all the workers who have moved in to the central old city area.

The accommodation was a mistake.

The accommodation was a mistake. The appliances didn’t work, nor did the door lock system. Couldn’t go out and if I did couldn’t get back in. Manager unavailable most of the. Time. Lots of apologies, but after the owner agreed to return my money, they did not. No a good place, not a good manager. Not a good owner. Not a good idea.

This small, beautifully appointed apartment is just off the main square of Moissac--a beautiful location! We enjoyed the care put into the furnishing and amenities. We communicated with the hosts by WhatsApp and had no trouble accessing the apartment. The hosts were helpful and we enjoyed our stay there. Users should be aware the bedroom and large very comfortable bathroom are on an upper floor accessed by a fairly tight spiral staircase.

This apartment is a very special find in the centre of old Moissac with a spectacular view of the cathedral. Veronique is a wonderful hostess and superb chef who also speaks English. She has renovated this lovely old home very stylishly. She gave us lots of information about the area. Highly recommend and would love to come and stay for even longer next time.

The rooms were quite spacious and very very clean. The lady that worked there was very friendly and polite. The food was very tasty and the property was very good for the value. I’m definitly staying there everytime I need to go back to Moissac.

Alex is great host, and the apartment was fantastic! Beautiful and had everything I could need. Really good stay. The location is also great as it is close to nice stores and sights in Moissac. Would recommend!
