What a great place, and a brilliant location. The little house was tucked away in a really private spot but with direct access to the beautiful town and the magnificent church and cloisters. The place is light and airy and well equipped, the bed was really comfy and the shower was great! The owner, Raynaud, even came round in the pouring rain to check we had checked in ok and had everything we needed.

Moissac is a small town with a big and important abbey.
Moissac is a small town with a big and important abbey. We loved the relaxed atmosphere (eg free parking), the covered market open in the morning with fresh produce, the restaurants and cafes in near to the abbey. We also enjoyed a free concert in the abbey itself after a downpour ended chances of an outdoor performance. We found the people friendly and helpful. There are a range of eating options and a lovely walk along the canal. Moissac is also a good place from which to explore the surrounding area including bastides, some of which are virtually tourist-free (at least when we visited).AndrewUnited Kingdom - Scored 1010
Moissac old town square is great but I would not stay...
Moissac old town square is great but I would not stay anywhere else in Moissac. I was there on a Monday and all of the cute little shops were closed. We ate at a great little place called La Terrasse. The food was delicious but the service was a little slow which was the case at most eating establishments in France. The accommodation was a mistake. The appliances didn’t work, nor did the door lock system. Couldn’t go out and if I did couldn’t get back in. Manager unavailable most of the. Time. We weren’t planning to stay in Moissac, but some friends were staying there, so we spent the night. We were pleasantly surprised. A beautiful canal. Great weekend market. Had a great picnic at a site beside the river.

Small but very well equipped and comfortable apartment with everything possibly needed including coffee machine, kettle, iron, hairdryer, fan, flatscreen TV with Netflix etc. Well located close to the abbey, tourist office, restaurants, shops.. Would certainly stay here again if back in Moissac. The owners communicated very well and professionally and check-in/check-out very easy.
