It was traditional, so you accept the warts and all. We simply liked the local feel, and got what we expected. Food was very nice, fairly priced. Only issue was road facing room 2 meters away, and heavy night traffic from lorries, and we had windows open. Not a deal breaker, as would stay again, because it was traditional French, not some plastic internation hotel chain. The walk around the village, and along the river was great for our Dog, and us.

This oasis is a treasure for walkers and cyclists on the canal. The hospitality was excellent and expert in so many ways. The room was basic but very comfortable. The dinner and breakfast were also excellent. It has a small grocery store, which is much needed in this part of the canal.
