Very nice and welcoming place. A great getaway out of the city but close enough to tour the whole region. Super friendly and helpful staff. Nothing but green pastures and horses around.

Great location. Easy parking. And we felt like we were welcomed into their home!

The breakfast was delicious and convenient for us. I appreciated the children’s price, I would not have chosen to eat there if I had to to full price for the whole family. We wished we had more time (and better weather) to enjoy the outdoor amenities.

Service excellent - very good breakfast- big room

Staff were excellent; cafe was delicious; location great; very helpful staff; lovely covered patio; good value.

Great location, big room and bathroom. A fan was provided in the room. The staff who checked us in was nice. They had world cup channels on the TV.

Everything. Beautiful in the heart of Bayeux.

Good value for money, stayed one night. They are so helpful:) Very clean room, good location

I liked that the property was out of the city centre with a pasture outside my window. It was a short 10 min walk to the main streets in town.

Great location. Staff was very friendly. We would stay here again.

Exceptional location! Great place to start visits to all the D-day beaches, Bayeux, Caen, Honfleur, Deauville. The hotel was PERFECT ! Rooms were large. Staff and Manager/owner were very nice and helpful. All the area belonging to the hotel was very clean and perfect. The food at the restaurant was delicious with a great price/quality ratio. Free parking availlble. Free wifi.

We enjoyed our stay very much. There have very modern rooms in a very old building. All very well maintained. The breakfast and dinners that we ate there were exceptional. The location is very close to the Normandy Beaches and many museums and memorials. The view from the parking area was spectacular. You can see the country side and the English Channel.

Beautiful property with large grounds to explore and the host was exceptional!

We booked Hotel Le Lion while in Bayeux, after a terrible experience at Moulin Morin (where we had initially booked 3 nights together with our friends). As we were on vacation, there was no point in suffering more than one night, so I looked for other options. There were many choices on Booking, but after a careful analysis we chose Hotel Le Lion and it was the best choice! I felt sorry we didn't choose well in the first place and waisted money, time and ruining the vacation mood on Moulin Morin. By comparison, Le Lion was worth every penny. I felt sorry we had to live after 2 nights, but we had a plane to catch. To sum up: Large, beautiful room, very clean, water and coffee machine in the room, also Dyson Cool in the room. High bed, very comfortable mattress. All the staff was very professional, even better than at some 5 * chain hotels. It exceeded my expectations and I have high standards. Excellent breakfast, very diverse choices of cheese, meat, bread, sweets, a wide variety of fruits (from cherries to dragon fruit), almond milk. We booked the dinner at La Table du Lion one of the evenings: excellent food, impeccable service. In the morning, apart from breakfast, in the reception there were croissants and lemonade. At the reception desk we received very good recommendations for things to do in Bayeux. Excellent stay, overall!!

Location was great and staff so helpful and friendly.

We spent 3 weeks in France and stayed at 4 and 5 star hotels. Villa Lara was our favorite by far. It's a feel-good place and the staff is exceptional.

A beautiful boutique hotel. The whole building is magnificent. The staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking and just a short walk to the restaurants and the Tapestries. Would highly recommend it.

Breakfast choice was not wide but there was plenty. It was very good value. The hotel public areas & room were all very clean & smart. The two staff we dealt with were lovely. The hotel is basic but very good value on a triplike ours where it wasa single night stopover.

Upon arriving, we found the Hotel under construction and we were accommodated at their sister property the Belle Normandy. The same ownership has both hotels. We were treated like royalty. The rooms were large and brand new. The breakfast was excellent and the staff helped us a lot. We do not speak French and they helped a ton. we went to restaurants they recommended and had wonderful dinners. They helped us set up a tour of the Battle Fields and made sure we were comfortable at all times. No question we would go back to this same property.

Everything is just perfect. La place est parfaite. Highly recommended

We liked everything about our stay here.
