We looked at the map in booking.com and chose a village on a lake because it was close to the highway. what a surprise it all was, the lake is beautiful and the village has a pleasant center with a large number of terraces and beer gardens. The hotel itself is easily accessible and there is a parking lot next to the hotel. The rooms are stylish and cozy and spotlessly clean. Rarely have I experienced such proactive, accurate and, above all, friendly staff. The best was yet to come because that was dinner. If you like Michelin star food then you've come to the right place. Balanced courses with matching wine that is perfectly balanced with the food. Homemade pattiserie by a young chef with a lot of talent. If you are in the area then this is definitely recommended. We are going back next time we are in the aera.

Absolutely satisfied. Spacious, spotless rooms with a pleasant scent, fresh bed linen, and a quiet neighborhood. By far my favorite stay in Grantham so far, and also more affordable than the average. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

The hotel was situated perfectly, it was walking distance from Grantham Town centre but yet far enough away not to hear any noise at night. We stayed from a Friday night to a Sunday. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. They have a nice little bar that's cosy and friendly. We didn't eat there as food is only available during the week, this isn't a problem either as there are plenty of places to eat nearby. Breakfast is available if you require it. The room was cosy and warm. The beds were lovely and comfortable. We had 2 single beds. The bathroom was clean, and there was plenty of hot water and towels.

What a gem! A beautiful, characterful old pub, very comfortable rooms with very friendly staff and a fabulous restaurant (evening meal was superb as was breakfast). I will definitely be staying here when I am next in the area.

Lovely welcome by friendly staff who went the extra mile for our dog - Rachel in particular! Inspiring history behind the pub, restaurant, B&B and village shop, all community owned and run by a team of wonderful volunteers. The room is comfortable and stylish. The bar food and breakfast were hearty and delicious!

Fantastic accommodation. Rooms in the roof are fantastic.

Fantastic accommodation. Rooms in the roof are fantastic. Loads of old beams and quirky corners. Surrounding village is not big but very pretty and it has a fantastic pub that does a wonderful Sunday roast. Allington Manor is a must to stay at.

Excellent historic property in a great location, the Lords...

Excellent historic property in a great location, the Lords and lady's rooms were excellent. Great friendly host and lovely breakfast. We were there for business, but it would be great for an explore of the area and the beautiful local villages.

Excellent hosts provided a superb one nights stay at Allington. We went for supper at the pub opposite which was excellent, when we returned Leo served us drinks in the lounge and got the wood burner going. The choice of drinks in the small lovely bar was superb. The breakfast was simply amazing, excellent produce cooked and served so well. Coffee also excellent. Very good parking and the building looks fantastic.

The hotel itself was in a fantastic location, very peaceful and was a lovely village. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The room was perfect and quaint with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast was lovely and served very quickly and fresh as well. Would definitely recommend to stay for a relaxing weekend away and me and my partner are now looking at booking again.

Superb property in a delightful village. Bed was very comfortable, and all facilities were very good. Breakfast was very good as well. The owners made us very welcome and were happy to assist in any way. Although Allington Manor does not serve dinner, the Welby Arms pub is just 200 metres walk, and does good pub food.

Allington Manor is a charming country house set in beautiful surroundings with a lovely garden , very quiet yet only minutes from the A1. We were made to feel very welcome, the breakfast was delicious , and the characterful bedroom and en-suite delightful.
