Lovely town. Very friendly people and so many nice places to eat. Balloch House was excellent and also dog friendly. The menu is extensive and the food is delicious. We had an exceptional trio of roasts on the Sunday. Loch Lomond Hotel is the best place for breakfast and the staff were so lovely and welcoming. We went for a couple of walks in Balloch Country Park and would definitely recommend visiting there.
Balloch is a good central area in Loch Lomond to explore from. Facilities in the town are reasonable and there are a wide variety of places to eat. You have access to boat tours on the Loch and some lovely areas to walk in the National park. It would be easy to walk, cycle or go further afield in a car. There are plenty places to visit for wildlife, shopping and history. There are direct train and bus links with varied accommodation to suit all pockets. You have access to watersports, boating, segway to name a few so it can be as relaxing or active as you wish. All in all its a good base to tour Loch Lomond.
Balloch high street is such a lovely place. Lot's of cafes, pubs and restaurants. Train station and Tourism information centre is just a few minutes walking distance. Some of the Loch Lomond cruises start's from Balloch. You can walk by the loch and high street in a few minutes. Fresh air. Pleasent scenery.
Although it was raining in the morning so we took the kids to Sealife Centre, it brightened up by lunchtime so we went for a walk and play on the park at Balloch Castle Country Park. We didn’t need to traipse round choosing a restaurant in the evening as Tullie Inn has a good menu.
Picturesque, peaceful, beautiful, the boathouse restaurant on loch Lomand had delicious food and the staff were very polite and friendly, the boat trip on loch lomand was excellent, very friendly staff with a glass of champagne to enjoy on the hour long ride on the loch, nice round of golf on the wee demon 9 hole course, then back to Cameron house hotel for a relaxing drink in the Scots bar.
Small little town but didn't have much character. Lock Lomond was within few minutes drive, which was why we went there. It was not a touristic place neither had a feel of a country town. It was just 'bla'.
Balloch
Absolutely stunning property that sits behind a 1930’s Art Deco (former) hotel. Property has been finished to an extremely high standard and is completely kitted out with everything you would want (if not more) on a home away from home stay. Lot’s of added touches like toiletries, tissues, washing up liquids etc. Master bedroom is massive and has a beautiful en suite. Smaller bedroom equally lovely/cosy. What a fabulous find on booking.com. Truly wonderful place to stay and enjoy beautiful Balloch.
Felt a real home from home! Rooms are on top floor of family home. Rooms very clean, lovely friendly family running it. Brilliant location in central Balloch. It’s halfway between a B&B and a hotel room, perfect balance of independence and yet still people around if you need them. Nice communal lounge. En suite, 4 comfy beds in our room, plus tea, coffee, fridge & microwave in the room. Car parking but also near train station. Couldn't ask for a better location and a friendlier family!
Balloch
The property was clean, spacious, had two bathrooms, a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine, adequate heating and comfy beds. The location in Balloch was really central, a 5 min walk to Loch Lomond and close to all facilities. Loads to do in the area - we will return. I have only given it an 8 as we visited during the post lockdown period and park facilities were not open. We did not see a member of staff onsite all week either.
Amazing location just in front Loch Lomond. The hotel atmosphere is exquisite with 4 different restaurants and a cozy bar with an extensive list of whiskeys. The hotel has big rooms, decorated with style with very comfortable beds. High-quality breakfast with several options. The staff was very friendly and willing to support us in everything we need. Definitely, we will repeat Cameron House.
Balloch
Andrea, the owner was great and was OK with the rather late check-in. Room was en suite, breakfast had a good variety. Area itself balloch is great for people with dogs and families. The guesthouse is on the main rd through the village, we got the train and it's a few mins walk away from the train and bus services.
Gorgeous location, the views from the restaurants are fabulous. The room was comfortable and modern. There is a small beach next to the hotel as well as a beautiful twenty minute walk along the Loch side to the Loch Lomond Shores shopping center, which is worth a visit.
Balloch
the owner was very friendly and helpful, letting us use a lounge area for the rain to ease of as we were cycling and had to vacate the room. beautiful setting, up a steep hill above Balloch. lovely breakfast and lots of complementary surprises

Nice, peaceful location, in the centre of Balloch. The room was warm and cosy, loved the coffee machine as well. The hotel has a spacious lounge with a good selection of drinks. Would definitely visit it again!

Excellent location for Balloch. Also for accessing both sides of Loch Lomand. Friendly and helpful owner with great communication. Good shower and bathroom. Plenty of parking
Comfy beds and pillows! Good water pressure in the shower. The hotel was clean, and a hairdryer was provided. Can’t comment on the breakfast, because we didn’t eat there.
Balloch
The apartment is within a gated area by the lake side, very safe and with nice landscaping, convenient for travel around.
It was in the village of Balloch on the shores of Loch Lomond, that is the only thing good about this hotel!!
Very spacious and comfortable. Liked the fact that there was a bath, which there often isn't.
Great location, good to explore balloch. Host was great
