The village was beautiful, the little church was idyllic. There are two pubs in the village,a shop and a cafe. There are some lovely walks , but expect steep inclines when walking. We are novice walkers, but found it arduous . There aren’t really any activities for young couples it is tranquil and sedate . We just went to chill for a few days .

I have been visiting Blockley for approx 15 years, it is a wonderful village and I have many friends there. It is easy to get around walking, don't drive - park and walk. I used to eat at the Great Western but have not eaten in Blockley since that changed hands about 3 years ago. Blockley is expensive for accommodation from my point of view, but if you need to be local the Crown hotel is comfortable but expensive for what you get, breakfast is very good

Blockley village is quite attractive but the facilities, like many Cotswold villages are typical of a dormitory village.
Pity really but the the pubs and hotels have to address the situation of ancient properties in ancient villages. The pubs / hotels have to realise the importance of cleanliness, good beer / drinks and startleingly good food in their restaurants.
I thought the hotel was lovely and staff were friendly!
I thought the hotel was lovely and staff were friendly! The only thing that let it down was the price of the food bit too expensive for what it is. I would def stay again just eat somewhere less expensive.
The bar and bar food was good.
The bar and bar food was good. We were allocated a room across the drive. Small,
Dreadful bed, duvet, pillows dreadful. The TV remote not in the room, had to ask at reception for one and had to return it when we checked out! It was obvious there are not enough staff at the hotel as they appeared very stressed. Would we go again? Not even if it was free!!
“Beautiful property, nice touch with the tray of sweets and shortbread and champagne in the fridge also. Cosy blankets and a log fire which really made things unique about the property. Much better than staying in a regular hotel as this place was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Couldn't put one fault on it. Will be back again next year. ”
“Very cute cottage in a quiet untouristy village. Beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. There was parking right outside the door and Blockley was a great place to base yourself for day trips to other places in the Cotswolds.”
“Lovely cottage in Blockley which was a beautiful village. Peace and Quiet was the order of the day and that is what we found. Had a lovely walk into Morton on the marsh on the Saturday and ate a nice meal in the Great Western pub in the evening. Would loved to have stayed longer. Maybe next time.”
