Britain’s 4th most popular visitor destination, Bristol boasts Brunel’s magnificent Clifton Suspension Bridge spanning the River Avon. More Brunel handiwork is in the harbour where his SS Great Britain steamship is moored. Pirate walks here detail the city’s underground naval history.
Further north in Clifton is the world’s oldest zoo outside a capital city. Other Bristol attractions include At-Bristol Museum and the Grade I-listed Corn Exchange with its 4 "nails" outside where money changed hands. Also worth a visit is St Nicholas Market, in a Georgian square home to several bars and a Slow Food Market on the 1st Sunday of every month. Other Bristol shopping options include shopping centres at Cabot Circus, and Cribbs Causeway on the outskirts.
As a student city, Bristol really comes to life after dark. The live music scene here is fantastic and has given way to several internationally known bands, but for something more alternative head to Eastside.
Another option for alternative-seekers is the work of hometown street artists Banksy. Just like Booking.com’s Bristol accommodation, his work is spread throughout this fabulous city.
This Gateway to the West Country is served by Bristol Airport and Temple Meads train station. The old Bristol to Bath railway line is now a cycle route and makes a great day trip.

Bristol is a vibrant fast moving city but it is also very noisy as there seems to constantly be building work going on especially round the Quay. I have been stopping over there for years in order break my journey to Cornwall and the building work and road works seem to get worse. I think I will stop over somewhere else next time. The Quay itself is a lovely area apart from the building work. It is peaceful and calm when the noise stops, a lovely area A young persons city with lots of bars and places to sit by the river. Whilst people seemed to be dashing here there and everywhere yet they were happy to help me when I asked for directions several times. I cannnot comment on any attractions as I was only stopping for one night

Bristol is a lovely city. People are extremely friendly. The guided tour with Luke (from Blackbird to Banksi) is a must if you don't know the history of Bristol and, of course, if you love Banksi. Fantastic tour guide!

So much to see and do.
So much to see and do. The Bristol 'vibe' is very upbeat - so many places to eat and drink, amazing variety of shopping (independents as well as the usual). The historic harbour is a 'must see', etc, etc. I have been twice a year for 12 years and always look forward to my next visit.
Parking is expensive, the multi-stories are often almost full and on-street parking is very limited. The city is well-served by public transport tho.
The Albion in Clifton is a great place to eat.

As a very well travelled person throughout the world Bristol is the dirtiest city i have been to. Rubbish outside every building. Homeless people everywhere.
Even outside the main council offices rubbish in the fountain was disgusting.

Good bus route system.
Good bus route system. Lots to see and do with must go see sites, such as Bristol Harbour, SS Great Britain, the Matthew, Museum at the top of park Street, and lots of shopping. Clifton is a must place to go and niche shopping, historical places. The Clifton suspension Bridge, the Downs, and much much more to see and do. Bristol buses are a good way to travel and see sites. Templemeads train station is also close by to city centre.
Plenty of places to eat all over the city to suit all tastes.

So beautiful inside and out, instantly had a cosy feeling, the reception team were excellent talkative and friendly.
The room was lovely, loved the additional radiator. It was clean and a great size.
The best part of the hotel was the underground car park, especially in a City centre knowing our car was safe was a relief.
Loved the fact that they hotel front entrance is only accessible with the room key and their is security an additional added safety aspect. It was also beautifully decorated with Christmas decorations.

Very nice hotel not far from the bustling action of Bristol city centre, right on the edge of Castle Park. The room was really spacious, the beds comfortable, and the view on the park was really nice. Excellent breakfast, with a wide assortment. The staff was extremely friendly and professional in handling one issue we had. Not only that, but we got a partial refund, which was unasked.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Hotel is in a prime location being very near all the main attractions in the city centre. Room was spacious and very clean. Staff were very friendly throughout. Ideal if you are attending any gigs locally as you have Electric Bristol, Thekla and the Fleece all within walking distance.
