Excellent service, we arrived during busy dinner time, quick and efficient check in. Ate in the restaurant, excellent food and atmosphere. We were delayed in arriving back to checkout, staff were very understanding and did not charge extra. Beautiful room with view over the estuary. We wish we could have stayed longer.

FAQs about hotels in Bristol

From Brunel to Banksy!

Britain’s 4th most popular visitor destination, Bristol boasts Brunel’s magnificent Clifton Suspension Bridge spanning the River Avon. More Brunel handiwork is in the harbour where his SS Great Britain steamship is moored. Pirate walks here detail the city’s underground naval history.

Further north in Clifton is the world’s oldest zoo outside a capital city. Other Bristol attractions include At-Bristol Museum and the Grade I-listed Corn Exchange with its 4 "nails" outside where money changed hands. Also worth a visit is St Nicholas Market, in a Georgian square home to several bars and a Slow Food Market on the 1st Sunday of every month. Other Bristol shopping options include shopping centres at Cabot Circus, and Cribbs Causeway on the outskirts.

As a student city, Bristol really comes to life after dark. The live music scene here is fantastic and has given way to several internationally known bands, but for something more alternative head to Eastside.

Another option for alternative-seekers is the work of hometown street artists Banksy. Just like Booking.com’s Bristol accommodation, his work is spread throughout this fabulous city.

This Gateway to the West Country is served by Bristol Airport and Temple Meads train station. The old Bristol to Bath railway line is now a cycle route and makes a great day trip.

Bristol is one of our favourite cities in England.

Bristol is one of our favourite cities in England. It is very diverse culturally and superb offerings food-wise. There is a very artistic vibe with street art and murals very evident all over the city. Great museums, galleries and vibrant riverside activity with bars, restaurants etc. Very good for walkers for either low level walking along the river or steep hills overlooking the city. A very photogenic city.

Very walkable, public transport available. Suspension bridge and surprise cave walking was a highlight. Cute walk along the canal/river with great weather. Ate at the grain barage, good food and local beer's alright. Lots of convenient stores available for last minute needs hehe.

We were in Bristol for an event at M Shed and to visit the SS Great Britain so we only really saw a fairly small part of the city. However, there was a liveliness and a great atmosphere wherever we went. The local pubs we visited had character and reasonable prices. I would say that getting around the city is probably easy judging by the number of buses we saw operating.

There is lots to do and see in Bristol whatever you are interested in. It’s a very interesting city with lots of history and great access, road, rail and airport. There is a busy and varied nightlife scene and compact shopping centre. It’s also not too big to walk around.

We visited Bristol to see the legendary German group Kraftwerk at the Bristol Beacon and for lunch the next day at the wonderful Italian Restaurant San Carlo in Corn Street. Bristol never fails to deliver a fantastic experience with an eclectic mix of people from all around the world. Yes, there is homelessness and yes, there are beggars here and there but not to the point of making the city centre feel unsafe. Top Tip re getting around, forget uber, the local taxis are cheaper and some cabbies are very chatty which is always a nice Brucey bonus for a chatterbox like me!

We were attendind a party in Bristol City Centre so the location was perfect! - The hotel is really well maintained, clean and peaceful. The stairwells are a little tiered and could do with sprucing up! (We only used the stairs once when the lift was busy). The bar food was delicious as was the breakfast. The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Would definately stay in this hotel again.
