Clean, quiet, centrally located. The online check-in was novel but it worked for us. The sound insulation was so good that we didn't realise there was some drilling going on in the street outside until we opened the window.

FAQs about hotels in Bristol

From Brunel to Banksy!

Britain’s 4th most popular visitor destination, Bristol boasts Brunel’s magnificent Clifton Suspension Bridge spanning the River Avon. More Brunel handiwork is in the harbour where his SS Great Britain steamship is moored. Pirate walks here detail the city’s underground naval history.

Further north in Clifton is the world’s oldest zoo outside a capital city. Other Bristol attractions include At-Bristol Museum and the Grade I-listed Corn Exchange with its 4 "nails" outside where money changed hands. Also worth a visit is St Nicholas Market, in a Georgian square home to several bars and a Slow Food Market on the 1st Sunday of every month. Other Bristol shopping options include shopping centres at Cabot Circus, and Cribbs Causeway on the outskirts.

As a student city, Bristol really comes to life after dark. The live music scene here is fantastic and has given way to several internationally known bands, but for something more alternative head to Eastside.

Another option for alternative-seekers is the work of hometown street artists Banksy. Just like Booking.com’s Bristol accommodation, his work is spread throughout this fabulous city.

This Gateway to the West Country is served by Bristol Airport and Temple Meads train station. The old Bristol to Bath railway line is now a cycle route and makes a great day trip.

This city is buzzing! A lot to see and do. Many bars , eateries and music venues. Clean! Can see why young people are attracted. Steep hills in places, but Uber quick and reasonable compared to some other places. Recommend book music night or theatre before going, but so many places to see ( lovely buildings: George Street area worth a look). Loads of buses. If you're fit, easy to walk around.

Bristol is a great city with much to offer and an easy place to get around. SS Great Britain is a must, and the markets but there’s a lot more to discover - for example, the Banksy’s and the river ferry. A walk up and down the river either side is a good way to start. Lots of free stuff too - the Arnolfini gallery for example which has a great small cafe and M-shed nearby. Such a leafy green city, never packed like so many others.

Bristol is a vibrant fast moving city but it is also very noisy as there seems to constantly be building work going on especially round the Quay. I have been stopping over there for years in order break my journey to Cornwall and the building work and road works seem to get worse. I think I will stop over somewhere else next time. The Quay itself is a lovely area apart from the building work. It is peaceful and calm when the noise stops, a lovely area A young persons city with lots of bars and places to sit by the river. Whilst people seemed to be dashing here there and everywhere yet they were happy to help me when I asked for directions several times. I cannnot comment on any attractions as I was only stopping for one night

Amazing hotel, I really enjoyed my stay, great value for the price and perfect for solo traveller. The room was very cosy, clean and had everything I needed. My room was on the upper floor so it as quiet. The staff was always so nice and helpful. There is a bus stop right across the street and the bus will take you to the city centre in a couple of minutes. Also, there are many cafes, pubs and restaurants nearby and the whole area was really lovely and safe. If I go to Bristol again, I will definitely book this hotel.

Excellent location and surprisingly quiet for such a city centre hotel Staff were really friendly. We have a reactive dog so needed a quiet room away from the escalator. They did their best to accommodate us and were really helpful. The hotel bar was really relaxed; it was a lovely stay.
