Amazing stay, we came here after Glastonbury and the experience couldn't have been better - we were upgraded for free and were allowed to check in early. You can order delivery food in the evening and the breakfast was brought to our room for a small charge in the morning. Beautifully decorated rooms and lovely, friendly staff.

FAQs about hotels in Bristol

From Brunel to Banksy!

Britain’s 4th most popular visitor destination, Bristol boasts Brunel’s magnificent Clifton Suspension Bridge spanning the River Avon. More Brunel handiwork is in the harbour where his SS Great Britain steamship is moored. Pirate walks here detail the city’s underground naval history.

Further north in Clifton is the world’s oldest zoo outside a capital city. Other Bristol attractions include At-Bristol Museum and the Grade I-listed Corn Exchange with its 4 "nails" outside where money changed hands. Also worth a visit is St Nicholas Market, in a Georgian square home to several bars and a Slow Food Market on the 1st Sunday of every month. Other Bristol shopping options include shopping centres at Cabot Circus, and Cribbs Causeway on the outskirts.

As a student city, Bristol really comes to life after dark. The live music scene here is fantastic and has given way to several internationally known bands, but for something more alternative head to Eastside.

Another option for alternative-seekers is the work of hometown street artists Banksy. Just like Booking.com’s Bristol accommodation, his work is spread throughout this fabulous city.

This Gateway to the West Country is served by Bristol Airport and Temple Meads train station. The old Bristol to Bath railway line is now a cycle route and makes a great day trip.

Bristol is one of our favourite cities in England.

Bristol is one of our favourite cities in England. It is very diverse culturally and superb offerings food-wise. There is a very artistic vibe with street art and murals very evident all over the city. Great museums, galleries and vibrant riverside activity with bars, restaurants etc. Very good for walkers for either low level walking along the river or steep hills overlooking the city. A very photogenic city.

We were in Bristol for an event at M Shed and to visit the SS Great Britain so we only really saw a fairly small part of the city. However, there was a liveliness and a great atmosphere wherever we went. The local pubs we visited had character and reasonable prices. I would say that getting around the city is probably easy judging by the number of buses we saw operating.

The great thing about Alison Court Apartments are their location in leafy Clifton, close to Whiteladies Road and the Downs and a short uber ride to the village or into the Bristol City centre. We visit Bristol quite often to see family and having tried several local hotels have definitely found our stays here more comfortable. The even bigger bonus is a large free carpark at the rear which so far has always had plenty of spaces. Being a studio apartment we expected it to be on a small side and it is fine for a short stay.

The room was exceptionally clean. The bathroom was well equipped and we enjoyed the space available in the room. The bedding was clean and comfortable. The mattress was comfortable and roomy. The tea and coffee making was good and we were able to adjust the temperature well for sleeping. Overall one of the best hotel rooms I have used. The location for the city centre is excellent. I do not think there is a more well located hotel to access all the sights of Bristol.

Location of the hotel in relation to Bristol City centre is great, on bus routes, but we walked as the weather was fine, free parking so the car was safe, and just outside the congestion zone. Perfect for our need this trip. Staff were friendly and professional. For the price it was unbeatable. Will be interesting to see it once it has been updated in the near future.
