GuernseyA lovely location with immediate access to the wonderful rolling countryside. The host family (and the wider team) were all incredibly welcoming, friendly and genuine. Its not usual for pictures on a website to "undersell" the property, but in this case it did. We were so impressed and bowled over by the place. We will be coming back!

A lovely town, clean and tidy.
A lovely town, clean and tidy. The staff in the shops and pubs and pizza takeaway were friendly and professional.
The castle is amazing good value for money with lots to see.
A walk around the castle perimeter watching the canadian geese in the evening was a great end to the day.

Didn't have much time to explore.
Didn't have much time to explore. Arrived late, and had to leave early.
I took a short walk to the centre, to have something to eat. Many options nearby in the centre. I went for Fireaway, spicy tuna pizza at a promo price. It was surprisingly good.
But if you prefer other thing, few chip shops, chicken piri piry, Italian restaurant, Indian take away, also few pubs. Good? Don't know.
Shops, banks, caffes, Deserts and Candy, etc.
I guess good attraction is a castle, actually one of the biggest in the UK you can visit during a day.

Very nice apartment with good parking in front.
Very nice apartment with good parking in front. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable living area and bedrooms. The dining area was a bit small for 4 adults, but the outdoor area was good. We liked Caerphilly and enjoyed visiting the castle although parking in that area was difficult to find.

The castle grounds were delightful.
The castle grounds were delightful. Good for exercising and leisure. Unfortunately we stayed for just the week-end (to visit Cardiff half-marathon) plus Monday night and the local restaurants do not open on Mondays and Tuesdays. Our accommodation was perfect for the four of us within easy reach of local amenities with onsite parking for one car. The artisan bakery was a brilliant find. Easy access to train stations with direct access to Cardiff.

Caerphilly isn't a beautiful town, but it's a great place to...
Caerphilly isn't a beautiful town, but it's a great place to stay for stunning scenery half an hour away in the Brecon Beacons. It's ace is the Caerphilly Castle which is the second largest in the UK and should be on your bucket list.

We were there on a Sunday and it was raining pretty heavily.
We were there on a Sunday and it was raining pretty heavily. Only a couple of places were open. Luckily we got into YFan earlier and had a lovely rest and a tea while waiting for our room thanks to the hosts. They made our stay more pleasurable.

Good breakfast selection, and Steve the proprietor, fitted timing as well as contents around our preferences. Noting was too much trouble for him, he (and his other half whom we met but briefly) were warm and friendly (without being overbearing). The place was spotless, and much cheaper than a Travelodge-type experience. Excellent parking for my large MPV, and a five-minute walk from Caerphilly Railway Station for frequent trains into Cardiff - and excellent and rather pretty location, especially if you like Victorian vernacular architecture.

House was easy to find and presented well. Inside was almost Tardis-like : it felt bigger on the inside than it looked on the outside. Very clean, bright, warm and modern. The kitchen is great and has a great view out over the valley with mountain in the back ground. The bathroom was generous and warm too, and heat/hot water was abundant. Bedrooms were tasteful, warm with good quality linens and towels. House is within walking distance of Caerphilly town centre, or if you want to go to Cardiff, the train station.

The good choice for breakfast which was cooked to perfection and well presented, set us up for days of exploring the local town, woodland and Caerphilly castle. Fresh milk each day for the tea and coffee in our room made it good to return after a long day out. Our room was warm clean and well proportioned, with a large comfortable bed.
Excellent. Adrian and Christine are welcoming and friendly hosts.

Very well equipped and decorated. Although we didn't cook, everything was there. All furnishings and kitchen equipment were high spec. 5 mins from Caerphilly Castle and 5 min from Caerphilly Station.
