More or less what I expected of a town dating back to Roman times. Enough shops to keep my wife happy. Selection of restaurants in the evening a bit limited - possibly as a result of the Covid 19 situation.
A beautiful part of the country, use it as your base and travel around to all the other nice places not far from Cirencester, Bourton on the water, Tetbury, Bibury. Plenty of cafes and antique shops. Clean and friendly.
At this present time it is difficult to make an assessment but the town appeared to making the best efforts they could to ensure that everyone and the establishments where in compliance with government guidelines
Lovely area to visit. Lots of little quirky shops and bars. I would highly recommend a visit to the brewery studios. Very easy to work around the whole area. Plenty of things to do and see. Also a short drive to villages with lots to do and see. I will be returning soon
Lovely little town with lots of independent shops, cafes, pubs and Restaurants. A beautiful church and grounds, a lovely park. Easy to get around, parking seemed a bit tight but luckily we were able to park at our accomodation which is a 5min walk from the town. The Fleece and Crown pubs were nice with excellent food.
We liked the restaurants, particularly the tapas Tierra & Mar. Nice boutiques - I spent too much! The museum is very interesting and good value. We managed to park ok even though I forgot to take my blue badge.
Cirencester
Nestled in a tiny village of stone cottages and farmhouses, this B &B is a marvellous place to stay in the Cotswolds. Teresa is a very kind and generous host, and together with her dog Luna, create a relaxed but sophisticated atmosphere where guests can instantly relax. The garden environment is sublime, and the local pub and other nearby eateries are of high quality. We had a wonderful five days here in a large and comfortable room, and were sad to leave.
