I didn't take breakfast, but I saw what was served and it looked very tempting. We dined there and the quality was really superb. But you need to book, it gets very busy.

Beautifully decorated, lovely high spec decor and nice welcoming touches of biscuits and brandy etc. The river running beside us was a thrill. It was warm and luxurious.

From start to finish, the Fountain hotel just kept giving. The breakfast choice was fantastic, as was the food on offer at the bar. An absolute gem of a place for a walking holiday.
