The Inn is a few miles outside Cullumpton. You drive through narrow country lanes to reach it. Just the Inn & houses in Buttlerleigh that we saw, probably good walking but we were out & about in the car
We came to Cullompton to attend a wedding at the St Andrew's parish church. A very interesting building with attractive and unusual ceilings and screen. The town, itself, is small but pleasant and we would have enjoyed exploring for another day.
At the moment there is a lot of roadworks on the main road through the town but it is accessible on foot. There are a lot of local shops and places to eat. The bus service is regular and transport into Exeter is good. There are some pleasant walks in and around the area.
Loved the little touches of chocolate, biscuits, huge variety of teas coffees and hot chocolate. Diane most welcoming and felt like visiting your favourite aunt. Very homely. Perfect if travelling on M5 and would like somewhere different than normal services hotels. This is a proper working farm so wonderful to be around all the animals
A great place to stay with countryside views all round you need transport as shops etc were a drive away. While there, the children enjoyed the outdoor play facilities There were books, TV, WiFi and DVDs for wet times We had a tasty Pizza/pasta meal at Rodrigo’s in Cullompton High standard food, service at a surprisingly low price The children enjoyed nearby Diggerland and the sandy beach at Exmouth was a 30 minute drive down the motorway
Not far from lots of tourist attractions, but Cullompton is a small quaint village to stay in. We stayed at a cottage 5 mins from the town and bought our food plus had a trip to the large Tesco. Looks there are loads of places to eat though, but our visit was much too short.
Hotel was spotless ! Bed was so comfy! Very happy overall
