Lovely comfortable bed in a cosy warm barn conversion. Very good value for money and the pub is there if you want it. Breakfast was very good and inexpensive. Close to York, Malton, Castle Howard. Secure parking plus the pub car park, irrelevant really as located in quiet village. Had everything we needed and have booked to go again.

Really nice comfortable stay. Spacious room, nicely decorated, with a big comfortable bed and a clean, modern ensuite bathroom. Lots of options provided to make yourself a cuppa which was appreciated. Easy self check in and self check out. Lovely communicative host. A few continental breakfast items available in the room - please note the cafe downstairs (independent from the guesthouse) has pretty limited hours so early risers need not plan to eat breakfast there

The family room was the perfect size for all 4 of us and our pet dog and the beds were lovely and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely too - was surprised to find warm pancakes! The staff were especially helpful as it was all last minute due to unforeseen circumstances on Christmas Eve - there's a Toby Inn next door and they were really lovely there too. It's in a great location for visiting the city of York.

Everything. Meadow Roost was exceptional. It was set up lovely, had everything we needed plus more. It was so spacious. Immaculately clean. Extremely comfortable beds. And the welcomes goodies were a wonderful surprise. Best accommodation we stayed in during our entire holiday.

The facilities were great, very clean and modern. Location was perfect too. The village of Crambe was delightful. It was very peaceful but only 10 minutes to castle Howard and 30 minutes to York.

Flaxton is a small village - very pretty and well kept.

Flaxton is a small village - very pretty and well kept. Even though the Thompson Arms is just outside the village, it is obviously very popular with the locals, and has a lively and friendly clientele. We were made to feel most welcome.

Kind and helpful owners who put a lot of effort and pride into their business. They were really great to chat with and gave good tips on the area. Great location, near a park and ride, as well as a short drive to moors national park. The breakfast was really good and felt like a home cooked meal. The owners were also kind enough to let us use their laundry machines. They also have 5 beautiful dogs which they let us pat for as long as we wanted. This was great as we were missing our own dog back home.

Cosy location. Brilliant private cottage. Loved the pool table. Lovely and friendly host. This is written by my 11 year old son. He loved the place. 20 minutes to York train station. Great breakfast. Will definitely visit again. 👍

The lodges were beautiful overlooking the lake. We had three for a family reunion. Very clean and well equipped. Everyone enjoyed the use of the hot tubs. The site staff were amazing and very helpful
