Featuring a bar, Harbour Inn Appartments provides accommodations in Garlieston with free WiFi and garden views. This self-catered apartment features a garden and free private parking. It was self-catering: breakfast was available but I didn't use this facility. There was convenient parking and the Harbour Inn is right at the front of the village, convenient for the amenities.
Cladach is a three-story holiday home located in Garlieston in the Galloway Machors region. Guests can enjoy mountain views from the property. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Cladach was immaculately clean throughout . Facilities were excellent with beautiful views from all rooms. Plenty to do both from the doorstep and within driving distance
Friendly locals. Great pub in the village - The Harbour Inn - lovely pub staff, make you feel at home. Beautiful scenery and wildlife. The nearby Kilsture wood is fantastic for wildlife (deer, red squirrels and woodpeckers, amongst other beasties) and really tranquil. Galloway House beach (Rigg Bay) is huge and the in the warmer months, the shallow nature of the bay allows the water to warm up a bit more - great for paddling in.
If your after a slower pace of life for a few days, then this is just the ticket. Peaceful in a great location. The Harbour Inn is the only pub, but has good decent food and friendly staff. Advise booking a table.
The views abroad the sea were incredible. The village was unspoilt and inspirational for lovers of natural beauty and wildlife. Good roads for cycling and great walking trails. Top pub and fish and hip van too.
The historical information around the creation of the "Mulberry" harbour and the impact that had on the Normandy Landings was truly an eye-opener. There are also wonderful walks along the beaches near to Garlieston which are right there to be enjoyed - simply stunning !!
A quiet picturesque harbour, shore frontage and laid back atmosphere. Local folks most helpful and welcoming. The Harbour Inn is a must for folks wanting to get information about local places to visit and tap into village gossip.
Small, quirky and quaint! Very friendly, beach fronted and relaxing. A great base for exploring the South West Coast of Scotland. Safe for a solo traveler and the Harbour Inn is very accommodating to its guests, dog friendly and serve a great menu of food. Including the catch of the day. It has access to local amenities, the local shop is just a short walk out of the village but is only open during the day. Very easy to get around and very easy to travel to and from. Would highly recommend.
clean and comfortable …and then some. love this place.
