Comfortable, clean and quiet room close to reception. Friendly staff. Great food especially the breakfast. Also a very nice pool, gym, and sauna available. Great location very close to University of Surrey, I've been coming here for the last 5 years to attend courses.

The spa is a very nice place to relax, and Guildford has fantastic shopping.

Beautifully kept and maintained building. Lots of character and old world charm but still luxurious. So good to stay in a hotel that is not just a run of the mill standard hotel with no personality.

First of all, Asperion Hotel has a prime location. 10 minute walk from the city centre, it is so centrally located that everything is a brief walk away. It is five minutes from the rail station, and ten from the high street and the Friary shopping centre. Just have in mind, for those of you who don't know Guildford, it is full of steep roads! Arrived in the afternoon, before my check-in time, but the receptionist, who was very kind and cheerful let me check-in into my room. All ladies at reception, including the manager were excellent, very polite and very helpful! I was informed about the breakfast upon my check-in: they have a hot menu selection, with top of the notch choices, and you select from the night before what you want to eat and the time you want to have breakfast. So there is no waste of food. Moreover, there is a nice dinner menu selection as well. What i tried for breakfast was delicious (omelet with mushrooms, tomato and cheese, scrambled eggs and salmon! My room was in the ground floor, room no. 4. Nicely decorated room, with modern bathroom, and a shower with excellent water pressure! The bed mattress was very comfortable mattress too. At the hotel's entrance they have a small lounge, with a 'help yourself' mini bar, with a variety of drinks, and some snacks, you just note down if you use anything. Rooms are carpeted, which sometimes can be a negative, but the carpet was very clean. Housekeeping service daily, with high cleaning standards! If I could find something negative to say, it would be the teeniest detail - the bed could be made better! Imagine how perfect everything was! A small hotel that pays attention to detail. When I visit Guildford again, this is definitely the place I will be staying!

Very accommodating and lovely staff. Room was very cosy and comfortable. Food was excellent.

Friendly happy staff. Comfortable room. Lovely garden. Tastefully decorated and furnished. Breakfast cooked to order, fresh and tasty. Just a nice atmosphere overall. Last but not least cheaper than the well known chains in Guildford but very close to the city by car.

I had booked here at last minute because of a family emergency and i arrived very early, and had very much lack of sleep, a lady called Nicky/Nichola was amazing and helped me get a room earlier, of which i am grateful for, she really helped through a very bad start. I actually used to live and even work here many years back and this place holds nice memories for me. So again i just want to say thank you all for being so nice and helping me out.

We booked 2 rooms to stay with our 2 kids and our labrador dog. We were housed in a separate beautiful lodge with 2 adjacent rooms. The rooms and adjacent bathrooms were spacious and luxurious, the beds were very good so we had good night sleeps. Our dog was welcome in the bar and outside terrace and the flood served was delicious. For breakfast you can select what you would like to eat and it will be cooked for you, of course next to this you can still have yoghurt, viennoiserie (croissants etc.), muesli etc. The restaurant serves excellent a la carte dinner.

The old English quirkiness, but at the same time modern conveniences . The staff were helpful and friendly without being obsequious. The food was exceptionally good although the menu could have been extended. We had an excellence lunch and evening meal, the ham and chicken pie was delicious. The out side dining room next to the river was the perfect spot for supper.

Everything about this property is lovely. My only regret is not having enough time to be in the room and enjoy it. After traveling the UK for 5 weeks this was my final stay and I got to stay at the best property out of those 5 weeks. Loved it.

Very close to Thorpe park thought would be a dump as so cheap but was fantastic

Stayed there before the refurbishment. Greatly improved now and love the new decor. Will stay again when next visiting family in the area.
