We booked a double room but was upgraded to an Executive Double (ED) room on arrival. The room was very well equipped and furnished. I'll definitely consider paying the extra for the ED next time. We didn't eat at the Mandolay but had drinks in the bar which is very good in terms of layout, fittings and atmosphere. For a short trip to visit Guildford and the area this was perfect. Everything is walkable.

The rooms are very grand and were clearly decorated and furnished to a high standard, maybe in the 90s or early 2000s. The hotel was easy to get to although the name (Angel Posting House and Livery) as opposed to Angel Hotel was confusing.

Nice country hall style hotel, a little remote but that's known before booking, ample parking and the rooms are clean with all the amenities you will require.

The kitchenette in the room was excellent, really good facilities and being left bread and snacks in the room was so lovely, really perfect, a nice touch. The host was very friendly and helpful and breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and variety in abundance.
