Bit tricky to find town centre.

Bit tricky to find town centre. Cobbled streets are lovely but not ideal for wheelchairs. Nice individual shops and eateries. The park and ride signage remains but is no longer running. Parked in York car park. The exit to town centre is on level 9 but no signage

    Lovely old market town.

Lovely old market town. Interesting individual shops, as well as the usual chains. Lovely river walk with good riverside pub for lunch or dinner. Interesting castle with beautiful spring flowers. A theatre with good range of performances. Older people should be aware the High Street is quite a steep hill. Lovely town - many nice places to eat.

A huge range of shops and coffee houses.

A huge range of shops and coffee houses. Everything is close walking distance of The Angel Posting House Hotel; 2 maybe even 3 shopping malls, so even if its raining you can shop. Unusual shops, one off shops and designer shops. Information Centre in the High Street, very helpful and got a map of town and surrounding area within walking distance. We parked outside of the town on housing estate as parking limited and expensive in the town. We walked from there along the river about a mile into the town centre.

    Lovely city.

Lovely city. We lived a few miles away until recently, so coming back is great! great shopping area, although covid etc has had an effect on shops. Love the high end shops, G Live, pubs & restaurants. Parking is expensive, so P&R is better, south of town or at the leisure centre.

This hotel portrays a high class in all of its advertising stating that its staff make your stay special. I found the staff rude which is no surprise when the management do not even come back to you after complaining. The MD is no where to be seen despite being copied in on all correspondence. The whole set up needs reform starting from the top. Better places to stay in Guildford than here who will treat you as valued customers.

Pleasant town centre, pedestrian area with good range of shops, cafe etc. Castle was set in pleasant grounds, lots of old interesting buildings. Walk along the river from town centre, out in the countryside really quickly. Lovely walks along river to Shalford, or Dapdune Wharf with locks and barges. Walks on North Downs at Newlands Corner with spectacular views and circular walks.

This is in a very good location, 5 minutes walk from the High Street, the bar and dining rooms are nicely appointed, the decoration is modern and inoffensive, its quite clean and tidy. The breakfast was good, the sausages and bacon were particularly nice and they will poach eggs for you if you ask, but they need to learn how to steam milk to go with the coffee. Via booking.com the price was very reasonable, the staff are friendly and I would stay here again if I wanted another hotel night in Guildford.

Located near to Guildford town centre and train station. Hotel and ‘compact double’ room were spotlessly clean and staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel has its own kitchen/restaurant and honesty bar area for breakfast and dinner and although we didn’t use this, it’s good that you can drink/dine in the hotel. White Co toiletries in en-suite, heated towel rail and large fluffy towels.

Hotel is in a beautiful setting and everyone was lovely. The room was clean and comfy and away from the main hotel, with easy access to the garden for the dog. We chatted to the new manager who, like everyone, is struggling with staffing, and also trying to improve the hotel in terms of facilities etc. It was a beautiful day to sit in the garden and enjoy the surroundings.

Sue is a friendly, available and organized host. Her house and the room were really clean and quiet. The room is a studio with all utensils and amenities to cook, including fridge, microwave and oven. Mattress are really confortable. Central location in Guildford, close to public transport. Stay in family in the 3-person room/small studio with windows on the street.

The hotel room was very clean and comfortable. The decor of the hotel was stylish and modern. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. The location was perfect as I was going to a show at G Live next door and there were lots of restaurants and bars in the area.

The hotel is incredibly run down - doors, floors, bathrooms. For the money, this was unacceptable. I stay in many hotels being an expat now and this is the most run down hotel I’ve stayed in in Guildford for a long time.
