The location is great and the room was bigger than expected. We had 2 big dogs with us and it wasn’t a problem at all. Loved the restaurant/pub at the hotel!

The elegant spa town of Harrogate has some of England’s finest Victorian architecture. Lush greenery and colourful flowers also add to the stately atmosphere.
The main attraction is the Turkish Baths and Health Spa, in a 19th-century building which maintains its original Moorish interior design. Nearby is the Royal Pump Room Museum, set over Europe’s strongest sulphur well and detailing the town’s history.
One ongoing Harrogate institution is Bettys Tea Rooms which serves fabulous afternoon tea. Surrounded by the unique shops of the Montpellier Quarter, it overlooks gardens which continue south to meet The Stray – over 200 acres of parkland whose vibrant spring blossom is quite a sight. On the opposite side of town are the Grade II-listed Valley Gardens, whose bandstand hosts summer concerts. The gardens merge into a pine wood which neighbours the acclaimed RHS Harlow Carr Gardens.
Aside from its visual beauty, the town is also important for conferences. Harrogate International Centre is one of the UK’s top convention venues - just one of the reasons why the accommodation industry here is thriving.
Options on Booking.com include 5-star hotels with spas, cheap apartments near the train station, and guest houses with parking. The nearest airport is Leeds Bradford Airport to the south.
Loved the shopping! Easy transport links to the local area.

We went specifically to visit Betty's Tea Rooms.
We went specifically to visit Betty's Tea Rooms. The area was lively, people friendly and not enough time to explore. Very pretty and certainly lots to do, we didn't have time to explore as we moved on to York.
We ate in the hotel and the food was lovely. I ordered a mushroom, rocket and cheese pizza and it was massive. Big enough for 2, I couldn't eat it and was offered a box to take the rest away with me. It was just over £15 and as we are used to London prices we were pleasantly surprised.
I tried to Midnight Tokyo Cocktail which was like a Lime Pina Colada, OMGosh it was beautiful (and also very rude not to have another) lol. They had specials on Cocktails with 2 for £14 up to 6pm, we didn't start until 7.30 so full price for me) lovely staff and made us feel welcome.
Breakfast was held on the 5th floor where they also have a Sky Bar that is open in the evenings.
Whilst the room wasn't in the best part of the hotel, I was comfortable and we slept well 😴

Harrogate is a lovely town... steeped in history like the Spa Baths and historic architecture everywhere you look. So many areas have outstanding, aged trees of all descriptions and scents. The gardens outside the Harrogate Hotel were particularly lovely but the gardens near Betty's Tearooms were the best, hosting huge oaks and lime trees in abundance. There was an Indian Bean tree that has orchid-like flowers and their leaves are the size of two hand spans! Amazing. Anyway, the choice of shops from high end to high street staples was a joy. Plenty of places to eat and drink. You don't have far to walk to find somewhere to park yourself and get a tasty beverage! The best part of Harrogate for us was the peaceful, tranquility of the evening strolling and no crazy traffic or drunken noises we might see in other towns/cities. We'd highly recommend it.

I was actually visiting for a family funeral so didn’t get much chance to wander around but what I saw was interesting and impressive. More street signage for pedestrians might be useful e.g. signposts to the station but there are handy map dispensers in the town.

Very pretty, easy to navigate and friendly people.
Very pretty, easy to navigate and friendly people. Staff member at the station was extremely helpful in getting us train tickets cheaper with a current offer(duo) which we wouldn’t have known about otherwise. The train to York was easy and enjoyable.
Everything about the hotel was really good for me, the parking at the rear (£10 a day) is very good, the food both breakfast and dinner plus very good value for money, it’s location is right across from the exhibition centre and it’s central for most attractions in Harrogate plus the staff were ever so helpful and attentive it’s a 10 all round for me.
The hotel is in the town centre so very convenient for exploring Harrogate and for attending the exhibition/conference centre. It is a short walk from the train station. Very nice welcome at the front desk. Every where was spotlessly clean and the rooms are very comfortable. I would definitely revisit.
The bed was clean and comfortable.
The parking although v expensive at £12 was on site although from the car park it’s hard to see access to the hotel !
Good location to explore Harrogate centre.
