To me Hook is an idyllic English village.
To me Hook is an idyllic English village. It is clean and the residents are very courteous and welcoming to foreigners. I very much enjoyed chatting with them while having a pint in the pub. When I first arrived on the train from Woking I was struggling a bit with my luggage which was quite heavy. As I was leaving the train station I had to go up a long staircase to a bridge that takes one over the railroad tracks to the other side of the station. A man and his son saw me having some difficulty and took the luggage and carried both pieces across for me. That's hospitality!

Fir tree lodge room 8 not fit for purpose. Noise heard from neighbouring rooms and bed stuck against wall!
Whole hotel is very dated and a bit too business/conference based rather than comfy/cosy country hotel which it should be.
Staff very friendly though and breakfast was enjoyable.

The White Hart Was a great choice for us for a couple of nights.
We were room only so can’t comment on the breakfast but we eat there in the evening and it was all good.
We could recommend Hook Tandoori and Cafe Baristas for breakfast.
There’s not a lot in the village but Farnham is not far and a lovely Town.

The look of the County Hotel is exceptional.
The look of the County Hotel is exceptional. The surroundings are picturesque. Rooms are good. The reception is very welcoming. Car park has plenty of spaces. The disabled car parking spaces are very near to the Reception entrance, which was very convenient.
Free wifi. Not too far from the hustle bustle of London.
A place worth visiting and staying, with friends and/or families..

I should have known from the price that it would not be to...
I should have known from the price that it would not be to the standard I expected. The bed was comfortable and the room was a good size but the bathroom was small and a bit dated. Set in extensive grounds.
We decided to eat there and were delighted to find that they offered a normal menu as well as an Indian menu. My wife is a vegitarian and likes Indian food but was disappointed in dishes available for her. Her pompadoms were served after her main and she left them. I had a steak but the chips were very over cooked. The waitress gave me a free glass of wine to compensate.
Breakfast was not nice. The tables were left uncleared and I had to join a long queue to get a cup of coffee.
We would only stay there again if we were desparate.

A beautiful building, the hosts were so friendly and our room was lovely. The gardens surrounding the house were lovely. The breakfast was really nice, we would definitely stay here again, it was wonderful.

Great location and with an amazing history
This wonderful Inn has all the charm of a country Inn with all the comforts of a high level hotel.
Also a fantastic breakfast with staff who could not do enough to make you welcome and feel at home.
Looking forward to returning to this special place in Hook

We have used Raven Hotel several times before and find it excellent value for money. Rooms, bed linen and towels spotless. We always feel that we are made welcome on each visit. Parking excellent and safe. Staff very friendly. Breakfast more than adequate with good choice in food.

Beautiful stately home hotel. Rooms very comfortable, good size, beautifully decorated. Outdoor and indoor pool both heated. Tennis courts, bikes free to use. Stunning gardens with so much to explore. Great for families.
