Excellent value for money given the quality, with outstanding support and service even during the holiday period. A particularly thoughtful touch was the Christmas sweets left by the staff, accompanied by a lovely welcome card. Stacey was exceptional we briefly triggered the smoke detector with my wife’s hairdryer (these devices are very sensitive), and she arrived within minutes to resolve the issue professionally and calmly. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I would definitely return!

We were pleasantly surprised by Lowestoft. whilst it is an old fishing port it retains a holiday charm. it is recommended for the older visitor as not a lot for families apart from a superb beach. the town is made up of one way streets so a sat nav is a must in your vehicle.

I like Lowestoft the people are overall approachable and quite happy to talk to you. The weather can sometimes be a bit iffy but we’ve had more good than bad. I think the beach is raked over everyday and you can’t take dogs on the beach in summer but it is quite a nice beach. You can get the usual fast food and pub grub around town with a few restaurants dotted around. We go to Lowestoft at least once a year to see friends we’ve made but it is mainly a getaway and everybody needs them.

We did not fully understand before we went, but Kirkley Village is the beach, guest houses, and general tourist area. Overall, it was very nicely developed. Visitors should understand that Kirkley Village and Lowestoft are somewhat separated by the river inlet. My wife was delighted to find Over the Hook, Kirkley Village, a delightful yarn shop brimming with a variety of kindred spirits. We ended up not having much experience of Lowestoft town itself.

We went to South Beach and was very impressed, we were expecting run down but all the big houses were well maintained, a massive promenade where you have to keep dogs on leads. The beach was wide and expansive. Walked to the shops over the bridge where there was a M&S.

Lowestoft used to be an important fishing port, and some remnents of this industry remain. However the port is now occupied in servicing the huge wind farm out at sea and a lot of specialist vessels can be seen leaving and entering the harbour. The new Gull Wing Bridge is a most unusual and well worth a glance as you cross. The town has a lot of old harbour infrastructure which is wasting away, but this is actually really photogenic. Also very photo worthy is the large expanse of water known as Oulton Broad. And of course the rest of the Norfolk Broads. The light house is worth a visit up on the northern cliff, as is the small maritime museum in an old fisherman's cottage. For me, the most interesting location in Lowestoft, is the East Anglia Transport Museum. This is right next to the Suffolk Coach House Hotel. Open regularly between Easter and Christmas, you can travel on a vintage tram or two, trolleybuses, motorbuses taxis and there is a narrow gauge railway and a vast array of other exhibits

Visited Great Yarmouth Greyhounds, a great afternoon out food was fabulous and went to the Pantomime in the Gorleston Pavilion Theatre. Jack and the Beanstalk was very enjoyable and a reasonable price would highly recommend doing both if you stay in December.

We have stayed here before. A lovely quiet, comfortable and clean hotel. Room clean, comfortable beds, nice shower. Breakfast was very nice. Quiet place to stay and great location not just for Lowestoft but for surrounding areas too, we visited Great Yarmouth too. Make sure you discover The Library in the hotel, beautiful little gem of a room for quiet afternoon tea.

We have family and friends in lowestoft so this was a great place for us to stay. it's location isn't far from any thing that we wanted to do. From visiting the beach, go into town, pleasurewood hills, and going to the pleasure beach in yarmouth, we even to Oulton broad and walked along the canal and finished up with a lovely carvey at the "wherry hotel"
