Midhurst is a fabulous old historic town with lots of great pubs, restaurants, walks and shopping to suit all. I love it here & come back every time we come to UK, it’s very much a gorgeous village I could live in.
The best thing is that they treat the dogs really well. All staff are very nice and love pets. The Spa is wonderful. Not too big, but just right and really clean and joyful 😀. I will be back for sure 🥰♥️
Midhurst is a bustling small town with all the amenities/services you might need for a self catering stay but is also tranquil and attractive with lots of great walks in all directions. There's lots more in easy driving distance (and, mid August. the roads were very quiet) but Midhurst is a bus hub so with a bit of patience/planningyou can do quite a lot of exploring by public transport if you prefer. The planet will thank you :-)
A delightful town, with a great variety of experiences within it. Of great historic interest, but also local colour. The Midhurst Bakery is a must for anyone wanting a French home-baked pastry, either hot or cold, either to take away or to sit inside or outside at one of the pavement tables. Wheelers Bookshop is a treasure-trove combining antique and up-to-date books displayed elegantly and spaciously amongst armchairs and tables in one of the oldest buildings in the town, opposite the church and market square. Tucked away further up the hill to the left of the High Street the Midhurst Gallery offers an attractive collection of art, books, materials and cards. Another must to visit! Allow time to explore the grounds around Cowdray House, pop into all the other shops up the High Street before discovering South Pond tucked away just below the delightful Spread Eagle Hotel. Situated centrally in the South Downs, this is an idyllic setting from which to explore the whole area more thoroughly.
Midhurst is a lovely town with lots of independent shops , and an abundance of cafes and delis . There are some nice walks in the area , and it is close to Chichester and Arundel, and several National Trust properties and gardens.
I have been visiting Midhurst for a number of years. It is a lovely historic Country town nestling under the South Downs. There are some lovely walks in the area. Chichester is within 20 minute drive, with the Festival Theatre. If you like the water there's lots of inlets with lovely towns and villages like Bosham ,Emsworth and Itchenor not far away. The best beach on the Sussex coast is West Wittering. There are lots of good eateries in Midhurst itself and within a few minutes' drive. I had a very good roast at the Greyhound there's also the Royal Oak The Unicorn The White Horse at Graffham. to name just a few.
Midhurst
The apartment was perfect for our family. It is very tastefully decorated and furnished to a very high standard. There was a bottle of wine on arrival and the flat was extremely tidy and very clean. The rooms were all very comfortable and well appointed including a large kitchen. The host Laura was always available to communicate via text and was extremely helpful and friendly. I thoroughly recommend The Loft Midhurst and we would happily stay here again.
Gorgeous apartment in Midhurst - my husband and I stayed with our 8 week old son as we were attending a wedding at nearby Cowdray (which is within easy 5-10min walking distance). The flat itself is stylish, spacious and very comfortable, much easier for a family and better value than a hotel. Bed was large and super comfortable, lovely shower and en-suite, compact and functional kitchen. Helpful communication from owner throughout and useful house book.
Despite the car park being on the A272, the accommodation itself is usefully set back from that main road and is therefore pleasantly quiet. The room we stayed in (number 6) was clean and comfy. The staff were friendly and fun. The dinner menu was quirkily traditional (eg, potted shrimps, devilled lambs' kidneys etc) but everything was tasty and well cooked.
Midhurst
Everything was amazing. I would highly highly recommend this to apartment to anyone. Next time I will bring my family as the spare room looked way comfy for them. Drank coffee on the back porch as I did some journaling. Everything in walking distance. All around a very peaceful area. Will stay here again definitely!
