Lovely town and swan in old centre, so close but not too busy. Nice square and church opposite. Seating on pavement to watch world go by. Good breakfast in cafe opposite. Staff very helpful. Good range of beers. Parked in centre by hotel, free. We stayed before walking south downs and wanted to return to explore town.

The decor was beautiful, the little touches were amazing. Bubbly on arrival and bits in the fridge to snack on. I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels and apartments over the years, and this blows all the other stays out of the water. Fantastic place and hosts

We enjoyed walking around Cowdrey park and looking at the superb scenery. Midhurst is a nice place to see some quirky shops and some nice places to eat. Reason for visit was to see our daughter playing Felicity in "Relative Values", a light comedy by Noel Coward which was produced by Midhurst Players at the South Downs Centre Memorial Hall.

Midhurst is a hidden gem full of history and beautiful countryside - in the heart of South Downs National Park. Lovely country pubs and numerous eateries with access both road and public transport to other towns. Goodwood for classic car and horse racing, Cowdrey Park for Polo and Guildford for shopping therapy are in easy reach too. Great area for walking with several trails nearby and good network of well maintained paths. Lots of history to explore and good selection of independent shops. Bus links to Petersfield, Chichester and Worthing via Petworth. I enjoyed Verdi's cafe for coffee and sandwiches.

Midhurst is a bustling small town with all the amenities/...

Midhurst is a bustling small town with all the amenities/services you might need for a self catering stay but is also tranquil and attractive with lots of great walks in all directions. There's lots more in easy driving distance (and, mid August. the roads were very quiet) but Midhurst is a bus hub so with a bit of patience/planningyou can do quite a lot of exploring by public transport if you prefer. The planet will thank you :-)

Lovely old hotel with interesting rooms and articles on display. We were upgraded to the four poster room which was very spacious and had an amazing bath. We brought our dog and the staff were very accommodating ensuring we got a table in the bar for a delicious dinner on a very busy night. Decent spa although best to try and go during quiet times if possible as can get crowded. I had an amazing facial so would recommend treatments if there is availability

Gorgeous hotel. Room was spacious with a lovely bed. Believe we were lucky enough to get an upgrade also. Facilities were great, grounds really picturesque and the spa was just what we needed. Breakfast was also really first class. We went into town for dinner which was a 5 mins drive. Overall great stay, wish we could have stayed longer.

The property is excellent for Midhurst and Petworth, Miranda provided an excellent breakfast, with a good variety of food to eat. The property is 17th century so its not modern but you will have good wifi and room for your personal items. Miranda runs a very organised ship and it shows.
