New Romney is a small self-contained town at the edge of the marsh.
It has beautiful old buildings with a 21st century sense of purpose and use. I found it a very friendly place and had a lovely holiday there.

Lots of history there, walking guides on the internet, good choice of restaurants and a Sainsburys. Great center for a walking holiday and for lovers of ancient churches and the 100-year old Romney Hythe & Dymchurch steam railway.

A good place to stay for touring around the area, particularly the Medieval Churches on Romney mMrsh and the RHDR railway. Several independent shops in the village. The Ship Inn provides good food and drink and a warm welcome.

The location is just perfect if you want to stay near Camber Sands only gun about 30min by car.
The beds are comfortable, the bedsheets were very fresh and clean and the room was fresh. Everything was clean and pleasant to stay in. I had a very good sleep same as other my 4 companions. The place is quiet and has a very friendly owner.

It is a remarkable location in many respects and with the steam railway running through the campsite location and the unique coastline to explore it really is a place to visit. Plus of course the Pilot Inn and old lighthouse to explore. And of course the usual arcades for the children!

I always stay at the Ship when in New Romney. The room is just what I need as a solo traveller with plenty of tea and coffee in the room. The food is always excellent and the breakfast sets you up for the day. They do not skimp on portion sizes and it's always hot

Good clean hotel, with good comms on arrival. Good clean room. Breakfast from the pub downstairs was great.. (nit included) make sure you book.. they will get anything for you for breakfast. It’s not all on the menu!
