Breakfast was great. Hotel was beautiful. Definitely going again 😁

Very clean room, everything worked, except TV didn't like PM, but better reception Morning. Didn't have bedside light, that would have been better.

Lovely place and very friendly staff.

Breakfast was extra to the price and was very nice. The whole idea of staying in an Ancient Abbey was not on our radar and so we were pleasantly surprised when we got there. The Abbey was surrounded by ruins which made very interesting and just across the fence was this 48 arch brick viaduct, absolutely awesome. The Whalley village was just down the road.

The breakfast was lovey, the staff were all very attentive, helpful and friendly

Clean, nice, tidy hotel, friendly stuff, excelent breakfast.

Amazing staff who were super friendly. Gorgeous spacious room sent in a quaint peaceful setting.

Everything you need under one roof and well dressed for Christmas

The Staff were wonderful. The head receptionist Victoria was so lovely and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Victoria is an asset to the hotel. Her attention to detail was very impressive. I would highly recommended staying here. Thank you to all. X

Incredible service with friendly staff. Fantastic location, very clean, great parking. Restaurant made some of the best food we ever had. Large rooms. Comfortable bed. Lovely gardens.

Everything was perfect. We got engaged during our stay

The ambiance was amazing 👏 and I love how they customize my room for my birthday. The food was good and the environment was clean. The staff was welcoming especially the bell man. I enjoyed getting chauffeur in the Rolls-Royce to the spa. Everything about my stay screamed luxury.

Great location. Well maintained. Nice breakfast. Spotlessly clean

Lovely room , and free parking

I am loathe to tell the world how beautiful Downham is - they will be overrun with visitors which may not be good for the village

A very nice, stylish hotel. A quiet, peaceful place with very friendly staff. The rooms are very tastefully decorated. Delicious breakfast. I recommend it.

Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely surroundings.

Lovely place , people and Value for money

Booked a Junior Suite quite last minute due to a family emergency, and the staff have been amazing from start to finish. Greeted warmly upon arrival, and staff went above and beyond with every question and request, no matter how small. The Lodge itself is beautiful, with a mixture of traditional limestone brickwork, wood, and a touch of modernity such as fitments. This is on top of the amazing views out of every window that I looked out of. The evening food, we weren't able to sample unfortunately, due to our own busy schedule, however, the cooked breakfast in the morning was phenomenal. Perfectly seasoned scrambled eggs, and perfectly cooked bacon. The whole plate was delicious. This is a diamond in Lancashire's crown, and we will be returning. Thank you for having us!
