Millbrook offers bed and breakfast accommodations on the edge of the Peak District National Park. Sheffield is 16 mi away. We had an enjoyable overnight stay at Millbrook. The rooms were very comfortable for our family of four (two adults and two teenagers). The hosts were generous, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our morning walk through the village and the excellent breakfast.
Lyndene features garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Penistone. this is the meaning of "home away from home" i actually felt like i'm staying at a friends house rather then an B&B. Paul is charming and amazing person. he gave us so many tips for the walks and drive around the area - that's worth a lot! the room is cozy and comfortable. the breakfast is AMAZING. Paul makes you whatever you want to eat! its like home! recommend it very much.

Dunford Bridge below the dam for walking & cycling along the old disused railway line toward Penistone. Holmfirth town for bimbling around & cafes. Fox House Inn is great for evening meals J Brindon Addy Farm shop does the best beef steaks, lamb and pork for miles around (Now does sandwiches) Hade Edge good for walking around reservoirs and forest walks.
Penistone is a traditional market town, high up on the edge of the Peak District. It has a lovely market (on a Thursday) which has quite a French feel to it, several individual shops, an excellent independent cinema and one or two really lovely cafes. There are wonderful walks in the countryside around and, of course, it is a stopping point on the trans pennine trail.

Ideally located for my work trip. Very welcoming owners who offered us a 7.30 breakfast on Saturday before even asking. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The facilities were of a high standard and much nicer than staying in a corporate hotel. Very close to restaurants, pubs and even a fish and chip shop opposite.

The hosts Di and David were lovely and welcoming, the rooms were cleaner and nicer than most hotels and the scrambled eggs for breakfast were genuinely the nicest I’d ever had!

Bar area and food was good, although lacking in atmosphere as no-one else was in the bar or staying at the hotel. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.
