The proper was very clean , looked luxurious inside , beautiful furniture. The little kind gestures in the room, the tea , the chocolates. Even had a sewing kit in the bathroom . Was a perfect location to what we needed. The best was extremely comfortable

The bed was comfy, I slept really well. The staff were friendly, helpful and willing. The Eagle and Child is in a brilliant location for bus travel to Blackpool or Lancaster or Preston. The local shops and boutiques are full of local produce.

A perfect few days away was had by both of us. The location is perfect. The accommodation was perfect. We occupied a 2 bedroom apartment, No 53. A ground floor apartment most suitable for the wife who has mobility issues. Couldn't fault it. Spacious, clean, and comfortable. Sleeping arrangements were a large double bed, 2 single beds, and a sofa bed in the open plan living room. It is a great size for a large group. Loved the shower room, another generous sized room. We didn't take advantage of the swimming pool or the restaurant, but both looked appealing. Booking definitely recommended for the restaurant, in advance of your journey. Thurnham Hall, superb building with the added bonus of having history. The receptionist was more than helpful during our booking in. Due to the wife's mobility issues, we were given an apartment on the ground floor as we had originally been given an apartment that required access via stairs. It was a wonderful gesture that made the break even better. It was great that the receptionist went out of his way to find us and give us the good news. So thank you. Will certainly revisit.

Chosen because of wheelchair access and it was great.

Chosen because of wheelchair access and it was great. Wide enough doorways and plenty of room inside. Also great floors for the portable hoist. Very warm and cosy and decorated with Christmas decorations and tree which was a lovely surprise. The hosts couldn’t have been more helpful. Everything was there that was needed including lovely fleece blankets. Would definitely stay again. The views were lovely.
